  1. I just got started fishing again after taking almost 20 yrs off. I kept mine line in a wooden locker in the garage. There are over 3/4 filled 3000yd spools Trilene XT 12lb, XL 8lb, Big Game 12,15,20lb. I’m afraid to use it
  2. Would you be interested in looking at/fixing these two reels?
  3. Guy on YouTube compares under $1000, under 1500 and under 2000 fishing kayaks. Search around there for help. last Sept I bought a used Jackson big rig for $1000. I love it! Stand all day. Paddles decent once you get it moving. I just added a bow mount trolling motor to it. Even better now
  4. I live right up the road from Conesus and fish it a lot. I’m in a kayak so I stick to the northend west side mostly. It’s been a tough year for me there. Spring was good with a few close to 4lbs but this summer I was lucky to get 2-3 fish each time (if any) and none over 2lbs. I know their in there. Friend got a few in the 5-6lb range and 1 over 7. I wish I could tell you great spots and what to throw. I throw jigs, wacky worms, spinnerbaits so now you know what not to throw lol

Ok but the 3” are just in a bag

Just bought my first rage bug yesterday. 4” Blue flake for 3/4oz jig. Question about these 4”. Why are they packaged in a hard plastic packaging?
  8. I’m just the opposite. I have a better grip with a higher reel.
  9. Naw they’re quite for a few casts then it gets worse
  10. I have 6. 4 are good just a little less casting distance. 2 make noise when casting/retrieving
  11. I have some Curado 201’s from the 90’s. Are those the b series? How much are those new parts and labor to fix mine up?
  12. Sorry I haven’t. No reviews on amazon either. That is a pricey rod
  13. I have 2 13 Fishing Rods Elite Chrome 6’10” spin ml and a Envy Black 7’11” Casting heavy flipping the spinning is nice although I haven’t used it much. I think it was $80. I really like the flipping stick but I wish it was a little shorter. I bought it unused for $100 but retail was closer to $300 edit: envy is going for 140 on amazon now so I might have been fed a line of bs
  14. Hmm... I use a drift sock every time I’m in my kayak. Never had a problem with it folding up. I keep it about 6’ off the back. When I want to pull it in I just paddle backwards till it’s alongside me and hook the strap with my paddle and bring it in. I think my 36” sock was under $30.

I need to learn this. A friend told me to rig this up the night before a tournament a few weeks ago. I got on youtube and saw the bubba style. I rigged it the best I could with what I had. 12lb green big game mono, 1/0 owner hook, 6” straight worm and a basic 1/2oz bell sinker. Lake is weedy and stained water. Very first cast with it I thought I hooked a bunch of weeds until the weeds moved sideways. Total accidental catch of a 15” LM. I’ve been using it ever since then and nothing, nada, zilch.
  18. Try the canal. Lots of people talk about good fishing in there

Just shot a 365 tonight. I liked it. Shot well, nice tigger, easy to conceal. The only reason I’d add a 365 to my carry is if I really needed a small gun that holds 10 rounds as I’m in NY also. I’m a Glock guy so that says a lot that I liked the Sig. I have 3 G19‘s and 2 G43’s. I’ve had others but I like these the best. 98% of the time I carry the 19. I’d highly recommend trying as many different kinds as possible before you buy.
