  1. Already have done that. so now I have a list of rods to look for and hoping to get my hands on them to see which one I get
  2. Yes sensitivity Unfortunately no friends that fish
  3. Very few Mom n Pop places around me. The ones that are around basically have no tackle just live bait.
  4. So if I walk into Bass Pro and see a rod I think might be nice. Looks good, price is right, action listed is right. but.... How do I know it’s what I really want? I’ve already bought two that aren’t working out. Is there a way to test it out on the showroom floor? Maybe a length of line with a sinker on it to drag on the floor?
  5. Thanks! we’ll be ok through all this. I just can’t spend any more on things like this as I want to.
  6. Even your best best best deal off for 550 price tag is no where’s near my budget. My current income due to the shut down is more in the hundred dollar range. But thank you for the offer I appreciate it
  7. Sounds like a rod to add to my choices. any chance you have a link to it? I searched TW but no Kistler Zbone Spinning rods show up
  8. GTN-NY replied to GReb's topic in Fishing Tackle
Sorry not following your rigging way. Any chance you can take a picture of it rigged up?
  9. I was just going to ask about Shimano rods. That’s all I used to use. Mainly because a friend was a rep and he gave me everything at cost. Anyone have experience with this https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-SHIMNORODS.html?from=basres it comes in foam and cork grip. Handle is long though 15”. Might be a concern as I’m in a kayak
  10. I stopped at a Sportsman’s Warehouse today. They didn’t have one of these rods that you’ve suggested in stock. A couple Lews and lots of Shimano
  11. It was great! Especially when stoned lol i was 17
  12. Added a Xi3 with gps to my Big Rig
  13. Yeah that’s a little over the $100 lol
  14. The Lews I like for wacky worms. The 13 Fishing I bought without knowing what I wanted/needed. I’ve been out of fishing for almost 20 years and everything has changed
  15. Mushy - when I tighten the line to feel for hits the tip just bends and can’t really feel anything it is mud bottom though
  16. I have two spinning rods. 13 Fishing Elite Chrome 6’10” ML Lews Speed Stick 6’9” ML When doing dropshot or ned rigs everything just feels mushy. Maybe it’s because they are both ML actions? Can’t really feel hits much especially if around any weeds. With the currant state of not much on the shelf in tackle shops it’s hard to buy something new that I’ll like without touching it. So I need your recommendations so I can just order it from TW. Thanks for your help
  17. Yeah the bubba rig is more up my alley.
  18. I'm 60, not very strong, I use a trailer and a CTug. I started with a Jackson Liska 11 foot kayak that I think was about 65 pounds empty. Very easy to paddle, it handled medium size lakes very well but I didn’t feel safe when standing which is very important to me. I upgraded to a Jackson big rig that is just over 13’ and about 90 pounds empty. It handles rougher water very easily, definitely paddles harder than the Liska but it’s very manageable. The big difference is I’ve been able to stand up and fish comfortably even in rough water. Is it big and heavy to maneuver on land and launch, absolutely but it’s worth every extra pound of weight and size. I’ve now added a bow mount trolling motor and battery so it’s even heavier now!
  19. Couple months ago the night before a tournament a friend tells me if I want to catch fish on that lake I needed to use dropshot. So on to YouTube I went. I didn’t have any of the right stuff but I did find a couple old bell sinkers with the swivel and some smaller hook to try. 1st cast of the morning with my drop shot setup and it’s hung up with weeds. Reel it up and no weeds. 14” bass hanging on to that worm. I didn’t catch another fish on drop shot the rest of the day but it did peek my interest. I’ve caught a few fish now on it and I still don’t have the right terminal tackle. Hits are a totally different feel just like my main technique of dipping weeds with jigs has a unique feel.
  20. Hmm... I stand corrected. Sorry
  21. Not to nit pick but they’re 600yds
