  1. It’s a lot of fun. I’d rather be catching bass by pitching jigs into thick weeds but wacky fishing is more fun
  2. Is this the hat? https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Unisex-Coolhead-Booney-Fossil/dp/B07DL1PG5W/ref=as_li_ss_tl?dchild=1&keywords=columbia+fishing+hat&qid=1592955765&sr=8-23&th=1&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=bassresource-20&linkId=dbfb282b83df2985dda3c0e00af9017f&language=en_US I need a good hat! I have a similar one to the linked one but by Woolrich. I fits tight on top of my head so there is no breeze even though it has a mesh fabric strip around it so it’s hot. The little 2” brim is floppy and hangs down. I bought a wide brim straw hat this year that has more openings for air and does a good job except the openings allow the sun through and it burns my bald head
  3. Nothing at my Walmart still?
  4. Which one do you get? this https://www.amazon.com/Hanes-Sleeve-T-Shirt-Large-Graphite/dp/B00KBZT0BE/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=hanes+cool+dry+long+sleeve+shirts+for+men&qid=1593557128&sprefix=hanes+cool+dry&sr=8-3&isTryState=1 or https://www.amazon.com/Hanes-Cool-Performance-Long-Sleeve-T-Shirt/dp/B00C179XNK/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=hanes+cool+dry+long+sleeve+shirts+for+men&qid=1593557128&sprefix=hanes+cool+dry&sr=8-4
  5. I liked the shirt but it’s $150
  6. I was out on Conesus a few days ago. Only 3 hits/caught 3. 1 was 6” other 2 were nice. Got both on outside edge of docks where the was a drop off right in front of dock. Lost a real nice one yesterday on same type of structure now why are my pics sideways?
  7. I have the same unit without side scanning. Transducer fits nicely in scupper. 5 is ok for kayak especially if you’re on a budget. I’d like to get a 7” screen but no money for it right now.
  8. Cool - I’ve been wanting a pond. Love sitting and watching/feeding the fish. Friend has one and I’m amazed how fast frogs and every once in a while a turtle finds its way in. My problem is I don’t want to dig the hole and not enough money to pay someone to do it for me
  9. I’ve always used and loved big game 20 pound clear line for my jig fishing. Very good abrasion, sensitivity, line watching capabilities. If you use the green I wouldn’t think you’d be able to watch the line very well.
  10. Look for a used 2017 or 2018 Jackson Big Rig. I’m very nervous in kayaks because I found out the hard way I can’t swim for sh@t. I’m very comfortable in my BR
  11. Good luck! what lb test line did you spool up? what rod are you putting this reel on? watch some youtube https://m.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+cast+a+baitcaster
  12. Well now that’s cool. Thanks!
  13. All the jigs in the descriptions say “lead jig head”
  14. What is the appeal of tungsten?
  15. Both of mine broke at the reel seat while setting the hook but to be fair I bought them in the 80’s
  16. Does anyone make 7‘6“ telescopic flipping stick anymore? I used to have a couple of them but they broke over time. I bought a 13 Fishing Envy Black 8’ flipping stick but it’s just hard to maneuver because I can’t telescopic it down for storage and I’m in a kayak
  17. She looks like a happy lady
  18. WWII Gerald Norry my Dad Cayton Schwind my Uncle
  19. Stability is good but I’m a little shaky standing up in it. I traded my Liska for a big rig
  20. Sounds like you have a great lady - congrats. My wife doesn’t fish but loves her Liska. Very easy to paddle and comfortable
  21. Not sure what you mean here. If you’re referring to my photo then those are both spinning rods
  22. I think I have some of those. I’ll get back to you. edit: I found them but they’re not 1/4oz. More like 1/16
  23. I always found the best way to learn something new is take only that with you. Leave all other rods and tackle home
