Today's mail and a stop by the toy store. The Aruku reminded me of @browne762 Rattlin vibe so I grabbed 2. I'm a sucker for a chartruese belly. I got 5 out of 6 shiners, one was said to been broke.

No I think either maker will do the job. All my shiners are floaters. I retrieve them year around as a jerkbait with erratic snaps of the rod with hardly a pause and they have provided many creek battles even 40"+ musky at times on 6# line, the devils...

Well, my conscious was eating at me and being a person that likes to keep a happy bait monkey I took ur advice Jedi and ordered 6 more AC Shiners in a size I've never had and for the spice of life I ordered 4 different colors, one being a color I've never had a Shiner in (black head-blue body). These are the model 200 which is a 2" 1/8 oz football shaped balsa floating minner that should be the cats azz for creek smally and Redeye. Thanks for correcting my error @JediAmoeba

A lil but of show to go with my tale from earlier. Looks to be 6 of the Rebel Craws and a Firetiger Cordell Big O. Do you see the torn pieces of cloth in the hooks of the Craws? It is common to see clothes in this stream filled with sand and silt on the bottom of the streams. So our mystery wading angler had hung into these and either torn loose or was able to get to the cloth abd cut it.

I have some of those clear floats somewhere and dry flys on hand, might have give that a try too
