Coolest thing you've ever witnessed while fishing?
Thank you Rpratt for typing all that out. Sounds like a rough crowd to be around. They best hope they never accidentally cross with a person who'd like a museum specimen or they'll have patch their foot suit lol

Coolest thing you've ever witnessed while fishing?
I'm with you schplurgy, could have been you! Lol but what interests me is not every one of those people are liars. And I know they are not seeing big ape men, they have been extinct for awhile. But I have to wonder why the human mind sees something at a glance or glimpse and they think it's 8 foot tall monkey man. Then there is little green men, skin walkers and spooks. What's goin on with these people.

Coolest thing you've ever witnessed while fishing?
Perhaps not cool but with keeping with a lot of posts, I too have saw nature in action. I was wading a river casting for Snallmouth when a baby rabbit jumped into the water and swam out with a mink in pursuit. The mink grabbed the fist sized rabbit and took it the screaming little fellow back to the bank and ripped him apart in seconds. The equivalent of myself leaving the drive thru at McDonalds...

I'm beginning to think that lure color doesn't matter.
And here are a few Kinchou Shad for @JediAmoeba to look at. My monkey wasn't sure if his monkey was aware of these flared gill lovelys. Not that I'm trying to influence you to spend money on lures ?

I'm beginning to think that lure color doesn't matter.
Now what kinda talk is that? If that is true I have wasted many thousands of dollars pretty colors. Im with you on those flared gill lures I bought them just because of that unique design. I have maybe 4-5 of the crankbait and just found a lipless called an Ikari I had bought at some point. My inner bait hound has been barking non stop over these by looks only ?

Are you a lefty or a righty?
I am right handed. I can only use my right to cast and set the hook. I can reel either left or right. All my baitcasters are right hand models but I am about to order my first left hand model. I feel like for flipping and pitching or working jerkbaits I would benefit from a left hand reel.

Curado rod help?
I need help figuring out a rod and reel. I am looking at the Curado 70 reel using 30-40 lb braid. I am wanting a pitching/flipping and frogging setup. I am looking at the Curado Heavy Flipping rods. There is a 7'6" heavy fast that takes 15-30 lb line. Then there is a 7'7" heavy fast that takes 30-65 lb braid. This is stated in the Tackle Warehouse description. What are the pros and cons with either of these rods for multi use? Thanks.

Jackall Pompadour Jr. Lures
A timely post indeed Jimbo! This menacing primate of mine has been whispering sweet nothings about giving one a try. I do have a few of the new and the old Crazy Crawlers. I have not gave them a fair trial yet. Have you given any thought to the Jitterbug? Maybe you saw the thread from a couple days back discussing it? I wouldn't doubt if the jitterbug excels over the crazy crawler style of topwater action. I know their methods of water disturbance differ, but not by much. To sum up this post my inner monkey says when you order those pomps add some jitterbugs ?

I have an unopened one in frog color. I might have to try it. If you see any good deals on some in black lemme know. Did it come in a jointed model?

Night time jitterbug Queston
I picked up a 6 pack of #1 Owner Stingers to go on my incoming Jitters. Wonder what the preferred size split ring will be? My local shop only carries Owner Hyper Wires so I'll be using those. Can anybody tell me how to do the rat tail mod to one of these? I'll have a jittery Spro rat style of action using a finesse or trick worm on the rear. TW and lure net both have these lures currently too for $7.29 So I could have ordered 4 from lurenet, used the code that saved $5, got the free shipping and got 4 of these for $24.16 shipped ?

One has to wonder, did Hank ever wet a line? Roger From what I've read from Harry David, that boy liked to grow and eat green beans. I'm with you, bet he never even had a nice rod n reel
