  1. Another vote for the crush city Mayors and the jighead i use is either a VMC swimbait jighead or a Z dude Finesse EyeZ jighead
  2. To be honest a googan Bandito bug. You can find them usually in the discount bin at most tackles shops for a dollar or two a pack and they flat out catch them no matter the hate they get because of the googan name.
  3. A ditch is a main creek channel and a drain is a channel that runs from the back of a pocket or creek out to the ditch.
  4. Favorite Carolina rig bait is a zoom 8 inch magnum lizard in black grape and my favorite texas rig bait is a Crush city bronco bug in Watermelon red
  5. a fluke and a wacky senko
  6. Crush city Bronco bug and I was using them before "The Welcher incident" I'll have you know! 😂Craw baits would be the crush city cleanup craw. I'm kind of a fan of Crush city.
  7. I still have little georges. When I was a kid my dad would give me a zebco 33 with a little george tied on it and I would catch gobs of white bass on it. Ahhh fond memories...
  8. This. I get alot of hate for a being an Abu guy but Abu has never let me down. I also don't expect them to be magic. I have surely owned a few that I wouldn't trust to sit next to my other Abus because I was afraid they would infect them with their crappiness. But on the other side of the coin my high end Abus are amazing machines. I love my brand and will likely never switch but I definitely admire other brands when they have quality models. There's really no need to bash brands in this day and age. All fishing reel manufacturers have good models and bad ones. It's like Ford or Chevy. Everyone has their favorite but in the end they will both get you to where you're going.
  9. Caraway Creek customs RMAX 10 in GP
  10. If we're jig fishing it, a 2 inch. Berkley Warpig is my go to.
  11. This common for Hartwell during the winter drawdown, although it seems lower this year than in a long time.
  12. I have my wife call me. Every time she calls I literally catch the biggest fish of the day. lol
  13. My wife had her right hand done two weeks ago and she is getting her left hand done on Monday. She is already seeing improvement in her hand that was already done. She had severe CT to the point it was damaging nerves and they weren't sure she would get all of her feeling back. Her left hand is moderate but they want to do it anyways.
  14. on a spinning rod what I do is stretch out 3 times my wingspan and them cut the line a foot or two past that. I don't know why I do it that way, I just always have.
  15. I do love the hybrid hunter. Chrome with a blue back is a killer color for me. It comes through grass with authority.
  16. I'm not well versed in exotic bait retailers. What is THU? NVM I found it!
  17. I live just 35 minutes away from Greenville. Maybe come early(or stay late) and we can get on the water before the tourney starts.
  18. I know the feeling. I live in Western NC. My dad lives in KY, and my brother in law is a fishing guide on the Chesapeake bay so usually I end up along with my NC license, getting SC, GA, TN, KY, and VA I have to set aside about 400 bucks just for licenses each year if I get them all.
  19. I saw some absolutely off the wall stuff at the classic expo this past weekend. I saw baits that HAD to be at least 14 or 16(Maybe bigger) inches long. I couldn't believe my eyes. That's bigger than most of the fish I catch. lol
  20. I don't drink and I'm not Irish. I'm just no fun I guess. lol
  21. My personal fave is the Rapala OG Rocco in green gizzard shad. I love balsa squarebills being on a highly pressured lake. They recently released the The ROCCO big which runs a few feet deeper. I found one but not in a color I usually fish at a local shop. Gonna have to just put in an order for some to the TW.
  22. Ive used nedworms and a few times I've used a finesse worm as a trailer but never a full sized trick worm.
  23. Heres my haul from the Bassmaster Classic.
  24. Just got home from the classic. Met up with VAFolks14 at the expo and we hung out and had lunch on day 2. Overall the expo was really good. Here are some pics I took from the one day I spent there.
