So the real issue , use braid specific cutters , Cuda makes good ones . Use a lighter and singe the end after you cut it. Problem solved .

Only the jdm zillions are made in Japan Spool tension with these is designed to have some side to side play… it’s not your typical set it to the lure weight

Zillion is a nice reel, especially for close casting or skipping but it’s no shimano in the distance category or refinement. I even tried ceramic bearings and the worm gear bushings switched to bearings. daiwa fans love it but compared to a shimano curado mgl or metanium it’s not in the same league.

Lews has alot of great rods and reels . Plenty of stuff on the lower end, mid and top end ! Something for everyone basically. Their mid and top end stuff is just as good as shimano and daiwa. With any brand you get what you pay for….. their rods Almost always run a bit on the heavier side of their ratings or compared to other brands .

Another vote for boogerman buzzbaits, the megabass Jamaica boa has issues with the clacker bead braking off.

Spinning still works well and I haven’t seen any of the pro’s using bfs gear either but maybe I’ve just not followed close enough.

Brand new Lews elite ti I purchased a month ago had no paper work or anything in the box. Companies are trying to save money where they can and diagrams / manuals are online ….. just the way it is!

Tried pp before and hated it. 15lb braid in daiwa j braid does not line twist much and is very limp ! I use that on the few spinning setups I have including Ned rig with no issues. Suffix 832 isn’t to bad either but isn’t as limp. Swivel isn’t needed at all unless you are maybe throwing a small whopper plopper or something.

Had to take advantage of the tw memorial sale and to my surprise shipping was super fast this time.

The z man Ned lockz are one of the better ones and a stout hook ! If you aren’t using elaztech baits, you can pop off the little led keeper that’s on the hook…. Then you can use it with any Ned bait on the market .

Dirty jigs are some of the best… xzone swammer 3.5 is good and tactical bassin says the storm largo shad in the 3.5 size is the perfect trailer with a good amount of roll. They recently put out a YouTube video about the info you are wanting .

tw only had two colors in stock and the rest are back ordered. Seems common with them and anything new

For a newcomer, the daiwa tatula sv tw would be a perfect reel to learn on and you’ll still like it as you progress . The shimano dc isn’t completely trouble free in my opinion and you can still backlash it,it can be inconsistent at times and will require some thumbing even though it’s a dc… But in windy conditions and distance it does better then the tatula.

Spool speed bearings are alot better then boca bearings if you are after some performance.

Funny I said the zillion doesn’t skip as well as the tatula sv tw….. re read before making a big deal on a subject. Lol this thread is exactly the issue with this site ! Lol awful feisty aren’t ya ….. so yes quite often the majority group on here does jump on one brand or type etc as to being the holy brand or product, where anything else is just trash…. That’s very common on here ! As to facts , it’s all over YouTube and other decent forums … the zillion is a lot of hype and a ok reel for the price but it’s over braked, doesn’t skip as well and is bulky to some! Them are facts ! Not to mention when is comfortable to me might not be to you …. Everyone has an option ! Heaven for bid I didn’t agree with you ! Guess what I own a lot of stuff ! Maybe even more than you ? I like to try new products etc and see what all the talk is about , if I don’t like it or get tired of it I sell it off and buy something else…. Lol typical response…. I have three tatula sv tw reels , one zillion , several Lews pro ti reels, daiwa Catalina jdm reel, and many shimano metaniums…. So yeah I have a very very good idea what works and doesn’t ! Maybe you didn’t know that ? Ohhhh wait you thought you knew it all huh ? Point is out of the box zillion and tatula sv tw reels don’t have a good casting distance , that’s proven fasts , they are bulky compared to Lews and the zillion doesn’t skip as well as the tatula sv tw…. All proven facts buddy . Sooooo there’s your noise preaching facts again ! It’s literally to a T the same concept as the magdraft lol is it better ? Time will tell but it’s again Berkley taking someone else’s idea and putting their little spin on it and then talking it up like it’s the next best thing.

Looks almost like the megabass magdraft . Berkley does like to copy that’s for sure but they sell a lot of them too

A good Lews reel will out cast a zillion definitely and isn’t as bulky feeling . The zillion is better than the tatula sv tw but it’s still over braked and not as good of a skipping reel . Daiwa fanboys won’t ever admit it lol
