  1. I'm in for whatever, my schedule is really flexible these days.
  2. He doesn't have a ton of line reviews but I enjoy the ones on the Tackle Advisors YouTube channel. Of the line I have used that he has reviewed, I found that I agreed with his assessment overall.
  3. They're on the list of tubes I want to try. I just don't get around to ordering new tubes because I'm so pleased with the Snack Daddy ones I use. Grabbed a pack of XZone to try out though
  4. We were catching 14-15" smallmouth on Kentucky Lake with the Venom 6.25" tube. They can basically eat whatever they want to, lol.
  5. Because 'hooker' was already taken by another profession.
  6. I tend to throw the 4 or up if I don't know what they're biting.
  7. I just built this in the fall because I literally didn't even have a sawhorse solution and I knew I wanted to give rod building a go. Overall, I really like it.
  8. Adding more data, just got the NFC split grips in the mail. 3EFX3.75-2.0 Kit Rear grip, arbors, eva caps, and butt total combined weight is 21 grams
  9. I built my basement workbench at 51" and just clamp an 8' board to handle my blank supports. Wish I had room for a full 8' table.
  10. I only throw them at night. I have better presentations for daylight hours. But the audio feedback it gives you at night really helps to fish it effectively.
  11. I fish jerkbaits in and around heavy cover with inline single hooks in the dead of summer... That's at least odd in my area.
  12. We had the one in front of my house go last winter. Didn't care for the geyser in front of my driveway. Hopefully they fixed it right. ?
  13. Does the Plastisol you use to lubricate the grinder separate in the bags or is it pretty stable? I'm not above massaging the bag to mix it up if needed.
  14. Looks like I have to track down some back issues of rod builder magazine... LoL
  15. No, I mean do you, personally, just grind up what you need for that day of bait making or do you grind up all of your old baits and then store the grounds for future bait making days?
  16. I'm definitely using that idea. Do you do it as you need plastic, or all at once and then store the jiggly goop?
  17. That's some genius right there!
  18. Well, next winter is when I am going to try my hand at pouring my own, so most of these days baits are going to get melted down into hopefully productive shapes, lol.
  19. I've been using braid on my spinning rods since the late 90's and never had a problem. Though I guess it depends on how old your rods are. If you're really worried about it, I would think a slippery braid would saw less on your guides, so like a Smackdown (excellent).
  20. My problem is less about buying than storing all the old junk baits that I don't like.
  21. Yeah, there's a couple of us new builders trying to wrap our heads around what is actually important. Unfortunately, I can build a rod but I can't go test it out until the ice thaws so I'm left here wondering about my choices, lol. Lots of data to look forward to in the spring though!
  22. Funny, I bought them for bluegill swim jig trailers!
