Hollow body swimbaits...
Of the ones I have thrown, they do have a different action than solid body ones, but my fish seemed disinterested in that offering.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Well, at least your lakes are unfishable. The wait would be much worse if it were the warm season. If I order a rod in December, I don't really care how slow the shipping is. If I order a rod in May, then the ludacris overnight shipping costs seem like a reasonable expense, lol.

I would love if I could place orders in November and schedule them for delivery in March. It would be like buying presents for future me!

Fishing Shallow Lakes
When you're mapping, do so in a grid pattern. As in, you want to map going one direction, then map perpendicular to that line. This is how you find the very subtle features. You won't see the changes if you're moving parallel with them. We found a sharp 6-8" drop edge on a semi featureless section of one of our club lakes and that knowledge alone has resulted in a couple wins on that particular lake.

A popular bass rod power/type that you personally don't find a use for?
Finesse swim jigs and tubes are usually tied into my medium spinning rod

What are the best youtube channels....
Agree with a lot of the suggestions. One of my favorites is The Nature of Fishing. So much information about the fish themselves and their environment. Also, while I wouldn't turn to the Googan Squad for fishing information, they are a masters course in marketing.

Something ATE my entire spinnerbait?
Turtles are interesting creatures. I've had long nose turtles chase down swim jigs and I've hooked a couple tire sized snappers. Nothing like reeling in a dinosaur.

Beefcake 3/0?
Based on my calculations, the bigger one is 7/16 and the smaller is 1/4. I'll compare the volumes of the top half vs the bottom half to see if it is imbalanced.

Also could have been a turtle.

Beefcake 3/0?
I think there's more weight below but I can modify if you don't think so. The material is pretty hard, it's resin.

Beefcake 3/0?
Glad you got the beefcake reference, lol. Well, if you have some already then that saves me a step. I was thinking those could go into the bluegill heads I'm sending you. Both heads were designed around a 30 degree.

Beefcake 3/0?
That's a great idea! Thanks!!

Beefcake 3/0?
I'm looking for a 30 degree, vertical hook eye, 3/0 jig hook that's built for punching. Any recommendations from the jig makers? I did some searching on the usual sites but the information is a little scarce on what is actually heavy wire for this application.

Big bass broke my rod WHERE?
The first gen Vendetta rods seemed to be fine but the newer ones seem to have more QC issues.

Kongsberg Flexview. This might have gone too far.
Looks like this is muddy. Navico owns Simrad Yachting and Kongsberg owns Simrad Maritime.

I want this! Finally a definitive answer to whether it's carp or bass.

To divide or not divide
If you don't use your livewell much, I would just leave it in there so it doesn't get lost.

Jika Rig Sinker Choices?
They actually go into heavy cover far better than their weight would imply because they are long and thin. I'd say the 1/4oz had the same penetration performance as a 1/2-3/4 oz bullet weight. I'm usually pitching these into vegetation and wood.

Yeah, I would have already ordered one if I had any room for it in the lineup.

My buddy has that rod and I've used it a couple times. It's a steal at that price!
