  1. @Grumpy232It is long? No worries :). I just listen to it while working in garage and Metanium MGL is what I suggest. You can't go wrong with it. That how I do it grumpy :)
  2. Praying for you and wish to get well soon.
  3. Not to me, But I heard the places I go fishing, They break into the cars and trucks and took the tackle in the parking lot. Mostly after that they will put them online in websites to sell. I am just thinking to do that so if it happen to me, I have one more chance to get my stuff back.
  4. If you want to mark your rods, One way to color coding them with Tape, But I used shrink wrap and it is really nice, Plus put my info under shrink wrap if I need to prove ownership. I add double sided tape to make them stay for life.
  5. Love my whisky, I am drinking same thing since college 😁, And yes that's my fish flask for my fishing trips.
  6. mesh bags being used for salt water jigging mostly, Because after using jigs you need to rinse them with water and let them dry for next trip, So I use it for fresh water as well and just put all the lures and rigs in it till it gets dry and I put them back. https://www.amazon.com/Goture-Accessories-Saltwater-Freshwater-12-99x5-12x4-72/dp/B0C3Q41N5R/ref=sr_1_4?crid=G5OWAYB7SVO0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.78LVbu4ZZ9nJj16tpgD_Xc3hmwdmUWKuuqlDHaketnTFRirxkfgmzJXqBf5793PKW82eejVV8YZ48Bpm_s9dASgU9KUBfTsL0H69VqX7e1z608bHgtJLW0PmiaGbiU1rDl5LHfNzeAtGojWvAOQJaSg6yYLDfksgGEPPEpnH7XGnbiapuQ_18nR5trbMhVttnICrxlf43d2bHRZ068AerUXpIf35Pb4c7YdaxHY9hLlEJz-zQIpZ_MRJVjGVmXDzu6EyHSVVd4ID5_2FR3ljEvL-noiE44MoYwkAEQglZMo.UJXBZkk_1YqUu4HKoyunm4--NQ2aekhrmMJroWuBnN0&dib_tag=se&keywords=rubber%2Bmesh%2Bjig%2Bbags&qid=1757549168&sprefix=mesh%2Bjig%2Bbags%2Caps%2C227&sr=8-4&th=1 make sure get the rubber one so the hooks will not be stocked. https://www.amazon.com/Reaction-Tackle-Deluxe-Mesh-Bag/dp/B0DPCTM41D/ref=sr_1_17?crid=G5OWAYB7SVO0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.78LVbu4ZZ9nJj16tpgD_Xc3hmwdmUWKuuqlDHaketnTFRirxkfgmzJXqBf5793PKW82eejVV8YZ48Bpm_s9dASgU9KUBfTsL0H69VqX7e1z608bHgtJLW0PmiaGbiU1rDl5LHfNzeAtGojWvAOQJaSg6yYLDfksgGEPPEpnH7XGnbiapuQ_18nR5trbMhVttnICrxlf43d2bHRZ068AerUXpIf35Pb4c7YdaxHY9hLlEJz-zQIpZ_MRJVjGVmXDzu6EyHSVVd4ID5_2FR3ljEvL-noiE44MoYwkAEQglZMo.UJXBZkk_1YqUu4HKoyunm4--NQ2aekhrmMJroWuBnN0&dib_tag=se&keywords=rubber%2Bmesh%2Bjig%2Bbags&qid=1757549168&sprefix=mesh%2Bjig%2Bbags%2Caps%2C227&sr=8-17&th=1

Oh man, I really want to do it, This Christmas Going there and Loretto and La Paz for 7 days, But look like fishing is not good by that time. did you charter the boat?
  9. found the color I was looking for finally, Hope I can find 0.25oz and 5/8oz also.
  10. I know few post back I said that reel will be my last, But this two combos are for her, Not me. She earned them fair and square.
  11. Ok I am going to tell you the secret to get bite with wacky rig. First use only senko (you need the weight). Second if you use 5” and you don’t get bite it means they are not interested in hen they see it visually. So the secret is use 4” or even 3” senko(not fat one) and cast and let drop and then jerk it up as hard as you can and you’ll need to feel your senko is vibrating. And again let it go down and jerk it again and promise you, You’ll catch your wakey rig bass by this technique. Enjoy and good luck.
  12. if you looking for inexpensive lure, Get this. It is a fish catcher.
  13. I have Aftco and Columbia for bass and I am very happy with them. https://www.aftco.com/products/solago-sun-protection-fishing-gloves-sale?
  14. Yesterday I was cleaning my reels and rods and take the dust of them(I am not bass fishing in summer), they are very light weight which for some people like me with old injury can be very helpful. Also it is really giving you the most bite detection ability which is very important. Also it feels very good and joyful to use high end tools and making you feel much better. in other hand with $60 ugly combo I catch nearly 100 bass when I had no choice, so don't sweat about it if you don't think it advantages important for you.
  15. in last 10 years I only finished one and bought the second one last year, So don't bother. It works and worth the money.
  16. So guys, I gave it another try and I must say you really need to do this right and I dialed in everything. I watch a few videos on YouTube and as you can see in the picture, I did the PR not by the 8 pound braid. Also, I did three nail knots at the back and I put the dap of the superglue on it and I gave it the test today as you can see the picture it cut 42 pound which is the it was the Strength of my mono line 40 pound and you can see nothing happened to line line even move and I’m thinking if I do that, this is really 100% not as they claim to be also about the thickness of the not that one of you guys mentioned the thickness is 0.2 mm adding to the overall dimensions of your mono, you need to remember we have the braid around it and then not around it And by braid itself alone on the mono we almost has 0.2 mm of difference so I just want to say I like this note and I’m going to do it before my soft water trips and I’m even thinking to do it for some freshwater like a storage and big catfish rigs thank you. Let me know what you think. Mono 0.61 mono spliced by braid 0.74 knot and glue done 0.91 I think it is pretty tiny when do it right way.
  17. Yup they can get pricey But Except the butt the rest is almost no cheaper option. I could save $200 on the butt but since it is my only combo it that class, I went ahead and paid $400 for the terminator adjustable butt so I can use it in any application.
  18. That's the best feeling for a fisherman to bring son or grand children to fishing. I always watch the pictures and it always bringing me joy. this three are so far my monster Fishermans and they are all pretty good at it
  19. Couple weeks ago I did purchase some big game rod and seller had them DIY cover very simple and nice using some harder fabric, I love the idea and I asked her if she can make some for me for one of my tuna/trolling rods and after measuring the AFTCO rollers she made pattern and made a beautiful cover and finish it with a hot sticker to make it even nicer. Just wanted to share it as first post in this threat, Please welcome to share your DIY projects here to help everyone to use them.
