GPS Trolling Motor vs Power Poles
I have both now but when I lived in central Florida definately poles. Love the spot lock for deeper water but when in shallow water it can stir up a lot of debris.

Bass Boat Advice
I second that. All my Yama 250 4 stroke uses is yamalube oil treatment and yamalube fuel treatment. Never a issue.

Fish finder
I would say the Lowrance Hook models. Inexpensive and simple to use. I'm not saying the best but I think it's one of the easiest to use and set up.

What is the best solution for a rod holder on a lawn chair/camping chair?
Reminds me of one of the funniest days fishing I've ever had. My friend and I took his dad fishing. His dad had just got a fishing chair for birthday. We got to the lake and he set up his new chair around a foot into the water. He told us he was practicing at home casting while sitting in the chair. We'll his first cast the front legs of the chair which he didn't know were sitting on the edge of a large rock, slipped off the edge causing him to go face first into the lake. He came up cursing because his glasses went flying into the water but then we notice as he was cussing that he also lost his top denture. We laughed so hard we almost peed ourselves.

Where to find topographic maps for MD lakes?
Eddie, If your fishing from a boat does it have electronics? If so depending on brand there are some good maps available to you. I run Humminbirds and use Smartstrike on my units. It will give you all the lakes in Maryland along with some of the best places to fish on the lakes.

Boat Upgrades
Thats a lot of $ to spend. Probabaly 12K t0 15K for a boat that you don't sound crazy about. I would go with some of the advice from above and do the essentials an see how the boat works out.

Who uses a Jackplate on their boat? - Would you add one to your next boat?
- Towing Capacity Question
I would stick to 18' range with a v6 tow vehicle. My 21' is in the 4500 lb. range when loaded. Remember you have to stop that weight not just tow it. Good luck and enjoy your hunt for the new boat.- Shallow Water Side Scan
Great advice. Spot on.- Disturbing the Ecosystem
- What Have We Become ?
You forgot one A-Jay "Poverty" Just Kidding- NEPA fishing
Congrats.. Nice story- linking humminbird?
Great advice.- partner too impatient for me to dropshot !
Is your problem your partner too impatient or your concerned that two feet above weight is too far? If it's the weight being two feet below your bait that's not a problem. The other issue sorry but I can't you there. - Towing Capacity Question
