  1. It sure would be fine. Heck I use my ultra light trout rod for them sometime. It's a blast.
  2. Korkers are the way to go. May cost more up front but they last and it will protect your ankles for twisting.
  3. I used to think I'd say a prayer before I cast BUT I saw where that got Fredo in the Godfather !!!!

  8. I would go to the fishing flea market section here on the forum and look for a good reel for the same money your willing to spend on a posible pos. Either way good luck.
  9. A idiot flew through the no wake zone just as we stepped off the boat. His wake lifted the boat and came down on a bolt sticking out from dock putting a gouge in the fiberglass.

  12. You can get a wrap installed for $2500. Not sure if I'm allowed to say where. To paint I can tell you, Mine is going in next week for some scratches and a gouge and it's gonna be $4,100. That's metal flake
  13. DG I own 3 and they work flawlessly. Been using BC's for over 30 years so no it's not just for beginners. I can turn the break off and cast it as far as any reel I own but I can set it up and make skipping as easy as with a spinning reel. Also in the wind it's great. Keep using it and you'll love it. Good luck and tight lines.
  14. Wow.. Outstanding work..
  15. On mono every nite before on braid and floro depends on how it feels when casting. The stuff does work. IMHO
  16. I use 832 and same as stated already. I do use KVD line treatment on all my lines.
  17. Wake up early and go to bed late. I'll have all the time to sleep when I'm taking my long dirt bath. Till then I want my body unfit for anything else but dirt. Hopefully that's not too soon..
  18. Welcome aboard Jon..
  19. Whichever one is getting hit. To many variables to even think about using just one. I do love a Ned
  20. Looks like you had a beautiful day though. Better luck next time
  21. Kiwi camp dry has always performed the best for me. Back packs, ground blinds, tents ect. Scotchgaurd is also good but Kiwi seems imho to be the best.

  24. Well around 30 years ago my bf and I went fishing with his dad at a local lake. His dads b-day was the day before and his daughter bought him a brand new fishing chair with it's drink and rod holder. He had his new sun glasses his wife bought him and new rod. He got his chair all set up and opened a can of beer for his cup holder and proceeded to call us a couple of rednecks because of the way we dressed. He sat down in his new fancy chair and his first cast with his new rod ended with him face down in the lake. He evidently had the two front legs on the edge of a big rock. He came up out of the water with a barrage of four letter words. Then he noticed his new sun glasses were missing and that really set him off. But the funniest part was he hadn't noticed that he also lost his upper dentures when he hit the water. We laughed so hard I thought we would tick ourselves. To this day whenever we see someone fishing from a chair we remember it and start laughing. My bf actually told this story during his dads eulogy. We sure miss him.
