  4. First welcome aboard.. I can't really answer your question without knowing the size of those lakes or what are you fishing for. A little more info and I'm sure you'll get some good advice.
  5. Smiling like a cheshire cat....LOL I would be to.
  6. Nice job. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  7. Something I do when it's not too hot but should probably do it all the time... I've spent the money on the 100 mph Skeeter jackets so comon sense should tell me to wear them when at speed. Thanks for reminding me
  8. Exactly. I always have two type III on board so I don't have to disconnect my kill switch from my inflatable PFD everytime.
  9. A lot depends on size of boat and size of wake. Facing your bow into the wake is always a good move.
  10. congrats.. Now get that smirk off your face..
  11. I would definately start with mono till you get comfortable, then braid.
  12. That is sweet... My winter purchase is spending $$ on getting scratches fixed on the metal flake.
  13. Sorry to hear about your mishap but glad you and your trailer/boat are ok. I'm not implying this is you. This is just a observation. I see boaters and campers sitting on the side of the road with blowouts. Many of them passed me a few miles back flying down the road. Now I don't drive slow but when hauling any trailer people have to be aware of the speed rating on there tires and the tire pressure also. Most of the less expensive tires have fairly low speed ratings. Couple this with improper tire pressure and it's a accident waiting to happen. Let's all be safe out there and not learn the hard way.
  14. If under inflated they will wear down on both inside and outside edge. Also if the tires aren't rated for the speeds your going that will hasten the edge wear. Good luck on fixing the issue.
  15. Went out this weekend in northern Pa. and all the fish I caught were on drop shot. Aproximately 2.5' off bottom with a 5" yamamoto worm rigged wacky. Most in between 8' to 14'
  16. Hope to hear of your return to fishing. Good luck
  17. Great post and very helpful. Thanks
  18. I use it at times but more to replace my basic Texas rig, not so much to replace my carolina rig.
  19. Starting on the rear side windows 3M make stick on hooks that hold some impressive weight, Then use the hooks above the 2nd row seats. Attatch line or cord across both and use PVC piping for how ever many rods you wish to carry. Secure the pvc to the cord/line with a figure 8 wrap so they don't slide. At the rear of the pvc secure a pvc strap so it will hold the reel against the opening so it can't move. Almost forgot on the rear with the adhesive hooks I used muliply hooks with each having it's own line. They can hold 8lbs each. Hope this helps. I used to do this with my truck cap.
  20. Giddy up !! Go get em
  21. I use 832 and haven't had any issues.
  22. I second that.. No matter how much you water a boat it won't grow
