  1. For those who want to see alligators. Visit Lake Jesup in seminole county. It's a 16,000 acre lake with a gator population of 13,000 per the florida fish com. I've never been threaten by them but I sure as heck respect there abilities. The wife and I were fishing for specks on Lake Monroe just slowly drifting early one morning, when we must have drifted right over a gator. We'll it evidently startled the gator and it came straight up out of the water not more than 2 feet from my bass boat. Talk about having the crap scared out of you. The wife in no uncertain terms said were leaving. I being Mr. macho said are you sure at the same time I was firing the motor up. You just need to respect that your not the baddest hombry on there playgound.

  7. That's funny. After reading your post I started to think "Well I think he has already answered his own question" Your making a good choice. I don't think you'd be happy other wise. You'd always be thinking you should have went bigger.
  8. Ed. I would take your rig to a battery dealer. They will hook them up and test them for shorts and draw. I know most places up here don't charge anything to test your system.
  9. We used to take my old john boat and my friends old john boat and run two 2x4's across both and c clamp them together around 2' apart. We thought that boat was the baddest thing on the Juniata river. They were the days
  10. Looks great... The only constnt is change.
  11. Dang that is sweet. When I lived in Florida my friend had one but it wasn't fixed up. It did have a 20hp mercury on the back and I'll tell you it was like a guided missle. I tried to drive it once and let's say it was a experience.
  12. That's a good looking setup you have there. And it's very obvious you take great care of her... Looking good MN. Bet she's seen alot of fish come over her sides.

  22. Sure is. Good choice.
  23. There's times that I use a leader and then there's times I don't. Lily pads and certain other cover, and for sensitivity straight braid. Clear water and around trees, docks and sumerged brush floro leader. Makes it easier to brake off when really snagged and gives some abrasion resistance and stretch.
  24. I agree plastic bunks for alluminum boat are the ticket. Boat slides on and off easily. I wouldn't use on a glass boat for fear of scratching.
