  1. Your gonna need a bigger Rod & reel…
  2. Welcome aboard… I agree with @SpellCaster fish awhile with what you have, you’ll soon find out what you need. There’s a ton of good advice on here and plenty of help with any questions you might have. Enjoy the journey
  3. Going to have to look into that. Thanks bud for the tip.
  4. I could only wish I’d get up to your speed. Just reading your articles shows the passion and knowledge you have for the sport.
  5. Another braid user. 10 lb. 832 with 6 lb. Seaguar gold. Works great.
  6. My friend after losing several hits in a row, got mad and his next cast he got a major nest. He was so mad he started to wack his fishing rod on the water and it broke in half. I think I laughed for 10 minutes.
  7. Last year night fishing on Dale Hollow and for the first time in many years I was a back seater on a friends boat. Probably around my third cast my tube was around the other side of the light pole and I let it rip. Didn’t even try to get it out till we were off the water. Ended up cutting it off.
  8. Congrats FD. Great job and very impressive 👏👏👏
  9. I was only joking … and I don’t believe you get anymore overwhelmed than I do. But I guess even after all ours years of fishing there are times when we scratch our heads. 😁
  10. I like flush mount at console but because I run 2 on the console there’s not enough room for flush mount. On the bow I run 2 and I use bracket mount for the same reason as stated above I can change the angle if necessary. Either way you’ll appreciate having grafts on both console and bow.
  11. After reading through all of the post, there is great advice and knowledge from our BR family. Then I started to smile and thought about a complete newbie reading this and thinking the heck with fishing it’s too complicated. I’m just going to learn to be a nuclear physicist. 😁
  12. Definitely his decision. On the other hand I didn’t purchase a 21’ boat with the same motor to worry about how much fuel I’m going to consume. No different than purchasing my truck with a 6.2 L @A-Jay and then worrying about the fuel I’m going to use to haul the boat. Great motor Andy. I love mine.
  13. Congrats and good luck with your new truck. Looks great.
  14. Boat probably 95% of the time but wading in the Juniata river for SM is one of the most relaxing time.

    Welcome aboard..
  16. I think Punxsutawney Phil should be replaced with a FFS unit popping out of the water, to see if we’ll have 6 more weeks of debating whether or not we approve of FFS. 🤔
  17. 😂😂😂😂😂
  18. I would definitely have your son check out the electrical. Blown fuse, switch etc. Have him check the switch’s and see if they have power. Check and see if the pumps have power to them. Possibly only minor if so I’m sure your son can find the issue. If not your decision is how much are you willing to spend or have the owner fix it. I wouldn’t buy a boat without putting it in the water and checking everything.
  19. Welcome aboard…
  20. Are you referring to birds or bass fishermen

    Welcome aboard Grant.
  22. Great job and congratulations BB. 👏👏👏👏
  23. My opinion a Skeeter but I’m biased. I run a 21’ Skeeter and I have no complaints. It handles rough water as good as any bass boat. IMO
  24. Aluminum - Pro V, Glass - Skeeter, Basscat, Phoenix, Ranger. Imho good luck on your search. As mentioned get the one you want and can afford. Don’t buy a boat and then wish you would have got the one you really wanted.
  25. Use them all the time.
