Would You Rather?
Mono, anything with trebles and mono is peanut butter and jelly

Pro Influence
I buy based on what is on sale, when it comes to rods I don't ask for much, I just want sic guides, supported eyes, and a blank that has the action I desire.

Where do you buy fly tying materials?
Yeah I was looking at the nice grizzly rooster necks, they start at 50$ which is kinda yikes for me, but I'm going to have to bite the bullet eventually

Where do you buy fly tying materials?
I was looking into buying some basic fly tying materials such as Indian Rooster necks for streamers, Indian hen necks for dries, maribu, chanile, waxed thread etc etc who has the best deals online?

Good reel for older person just starting getting into baitcasters
Slx xt is really good and I love it, diawas tatulas and fuego are also amazing, lews has a good 100$ reel and abu has the revo X, as long as you don't get a kastking, pfluger, piscifun etc reel you will be fine, I'm not saying those don't work and I own quite a few of their casting models, i just feel for a newer person a stronger breaking system will minimize more backlashes (on the KK/piscifun reels I have noticed they can be fussy on breaks dialed in and you have to thumb it off the get go for them to work really well.)

Float n Fly
Anything you like you plastic colors in works lovely for any hair style baits, greens, Grey's, etc etc. It's fun, I throw em on my trout rod,

Bass and Carp
This^^^^ 99% of my fisheries I don't worry about them but here in SOCAL smb are not that common and it really upset me one time when I saw a row of 7-8 smb beds, 3 of which where overrun with carp, it was interesting how the some males just kind of let them have the bed and didn't want to pick a fight, others told the carp to stay away and they got the message, but this is a niche situation, overall they just create those bubbles and lazily swim around the shallow flats chillin

Soft split ring
I don't fish big swimbaits near as much as you, if you like it let me know the results, I'm thinking about it in my mind a bit.

who would fish this for trout or crappie
Ooh I do have some grizzly hackle, that could be a nice addition with a maribu tail as well, maybe it's just me but soft furs feathers and hairs have a ton of action compared to plastic, finding I like them a bit more in comparison to soft plastic crappie baits in the colder months like now

Cast a Dropshot and Retrieve Horizontally Line & Hook Set Up ?
This is how I fish dropshots mostly, I go extra long on the tag end to account for the angle, I use coply/mono/floro whatever I have laying around, in 6-8lb depending on bait size clarity etc etc, I don't like braid, but if you are a fan of braid you can use a leader.

Ah yes maribu tail did come with the kit, that is a great idea! I will try that for sure, my grandma's friend gifted me an entire shedding of their peacocks fur and poor Albert the turkey got ate by a cayote this year so I was practicing with those two materials and get better with thread controll and wrapping, my fine motor skills are not the best because of disabilities which can be frustrating, it is fixable but takes much longer to master a skill like tying a fishing knot or shoes or opening a cap off water bottle in comparison to other people. But enough of my rambling, light brown/olive+Peacock here is something I never thought of, that is uper fishy?

Clear vs Green
I use colored monofilament/coply for line watching techniques because I hate braid on spinning reels. I don't have a need for colored line on moving baits because I'm not watching the line for a bite.

Are You Fast or Sloooowwwww?
I have always been a super slow fisherman, my casts can be 15+minutes where I know there are fish in heavily pressured waters, but I was shown the dark side this spring-fall in the morning+evening when weather conditions line up.... BURNBURNBURNBURNBURNBURNBURN

Ultralight rods
Yeah I hear you, plus when fishing light lines the stainless steel guides get cut through with divits by the thin diameter line, the ones I haven't broke won't cast well and knick my line because of the divits. Anything that has aluminum oxide guides is a win for me, okuma cellios is one of my favorite for the price, half the price of bps rods with better components, other notable mentions would be shimano sensilite, and my absolute favorite of them all being the diawa presso for 60$, same price as the bps but it's easy to travel with and comes with a fantastic travel case.

Ultralight rods
I'll send you images of the broken UL rods and loose eye guides on my bps UL rods, loose eyes guides IS poor quality control

Shallow-running/Suspending Lipless Crankbait
Alot of guys love liplesses in the grass, don't get me wrong they work great, but when grass gets that high I seem to be more productive with weedless swimbaits, spinnerbaits, swimming worms, swimjigs, topwaters and chatterbaits depending on water clarity weather etc. I like to fish liplesses in sparse isolated grass and accasionally rip it through, maybe some days these guys will outfish me ripping that lipless through the grass but I don't have the patience to pull off a fistfull of milfoil on every cast, that's not my thing.

Rod balance
On mudhole they sell butt weights you put into the butt of the rod handle, but every time you change your reel it will be unbalanced unless you use the same model size and brand reel

Medium Light Fast Rod Uses
Bluegill, trout, float and fly, light wire hooky things, light line applications, Weightless trickworms, that kind of stuff

Looking for pitching/skipping dobyns rod
Those are two different presentations like Tom said, dare I say it but if it is not that thick of cover just use the good old jack of all trades, your mh baitcast combo for flipping/pitching or if your like me and can't skip like the pros use a mh spinning rod, or just don't skip jigs and use your m spinning rod with smaller lighter wire baits in comparison to a flipping jig hook. Personally where I am from I don't have to flip much and instead I just make low trajectory casts under overhanging trees with roll casts

Any PS3 Guru's here?
There is a good chance it is bricked, but usually Bricking is the blue screen of death, so I'd try to let it repair itself, data corruptions are extremely common when shut off during a game and usually will self fix, if it doesn't you may need to replace the hard drive. The nentendo switch imo is a great option at the moment with great age appropriate games for kids but they are amazing for adults as well. Some games I like include donkey Kong tropical freeze and animal crossing. Super Mario 3d is another+ on the 3ds you can use it as a console on your TV as well

My Safari browser has slowed up in the last few days (but it may just be my DSL service)
To be completely honest it's probably not your fault, if it's just been for the last two or three weeks it's probably your provider, check your wifi plan specs, (upload and download speeds) then run a test and see if it matches your plan you bought, if it's slower, and it probably is, give your service provider a call and raise hell, or switch to a different service, they do this all the time to save resources, starting you with your service speeds you bought and start slowly winging it down hoping you won't notice reccomending you to reset your router, or go through B.S loopholes. this is common internet service provider sales tactics, if they don't comply cancel your service, but usually they will say they "fixed" something on their end, allocating more resources to your household

Berkley FireLine
Nor the biggest fan on Berkleys line products, I feel like there are better options at the same price
