  1. There is that hint of a grin again I see. Nice fish Chris.
  2. Welcome to the forum!!!
  3. They are nice. God, I hope I don't turn into a complete Shimano nut now. ;D
  4. I know you said you didn't want to do an online purchase but if you do I would suggest Brad at JBC outfitters. I ordered a few off of him and he got them to me right away.
  5. Welcome Aboard!! Lots of good people and great info, or is that the other way around? Oh well, welcome anyway.

Avid, if you started taking "good" pictures it just wouldn't be the same. Keep it up buddy!
  7. They are not that much if you order them from Plat or Jun ($650.00), but still on the pricey side. Kind of a radical change in the new style of reel. No matter how hard I try I can't make myself get used to the looks of this one. Who knows, maybe it will grow on me? The last one sure did.
  8. Good read! Thanks!!
  9. I like to see things like this. It makes you feel good.
  10. Nice fish man!! Fourbizzle, do you catch more or your bigger fish at night in the summer months? The reason I ask is I have never night fished for bass and I'm thinking about starting to on the weekends. The lake I mainly fish has some real toads in it but I can only catch them in the spring for the most part. :-/

Chris, I always enjoy looking at your pics, kind of small grin I see there. ;D Beautiful fish man!!!
  12. Haven't used the T.U. model but did see a guy over the weekend on the river with a broken frame on his Madison. If you decide to go with the Creek Company they have their own website with tons of add-ons for the boats.
  13. They are worth the money no matter what brand you decide to buy. I have two, one for myself and one for the wife. We have a blast fishing on float trips with these things. Surprisingly, they do good even in rapids up to class 3. We bought the Creek Company style from Cabela's but if I had it to do all over I would spend the extra money and get one that sets a little higher out of the water like the Outcast brand. Some days I just don't want my butt to get wet. ;D
  14. I have a Helium II LTX and an Ito reel setup that is under 9 oz. 8.67 to be exact. You have to really hold on when you have a bigger fish smash a bait. This whole setup is lighter than most reels out there.

Avid, when the bite gets real tough I pull out the Keitech jigs. They have sizes all the way down to 1/64th oz. I believe. I use alot of the 1/8th oz. sizes in mainly watermelon and green pumpkin with a slider worm cut off behind the ring as a trailer or the Keitech trailers. I must warn you though they are a bit pricey. The name of the jig is Guard Spin Jig. I have had nothing but good service with the ebay seller Basscat2000 and the name of his store is Japan Lures. I hope this may be what you are looking for. Blaine,
  16. I think you should budget yourself and get what you can afford without going broke, but I don't think your crazy because you like nice fishing gear. If that makes you crazy then welcome to the nuthouse!!! This place is full of crazies!!! ;D
  17. Guys, look on eBay in the fishing section and type O-rings. You can get as many as you need. The price you pay for the O-rings and shipping will be far cheaper than going to the auto or hardware store and buying them. You can also find the tool to put them on your Senko when you type this search. Just a heads up.
  18. Your post has brought back quite a few memories for me. The names of the places that you are telling about I have not heard for about six years now. I lived in New York (Watkins Glen) for a year working for the company that I still currently work for. I have been to all of the Finger Lakes and used to work in areas that surrounded them. I miss living there because it seemed like there was always something to see or do. Thank you for the happy flashback of this beautiful place. 8-) Blaine,
  19. Nice fish Russ!! Gonna have to do some night fishing soon myself.
  20. What he said, pretty hard to beat.
  21. I keep mine in my garage with everything else fishing related. I have a 30' x 40' garage/tackle box. ;D
  22. Oh my God!!! I would cry. :'(
  23. Atta Boy!! I love to see people that get excited while fishing. I know I do. ;D
  24. Good lookin fish fellas.
  25. Looks like the Greenbrier is a little low. I was hoping it would have a little more water for this coming weeks float trip. Maybe we will get a few showers and raise it up a little. Looks like you had a good time Aaron.
