I have to agree. Don't you guys remember when Tony was talking to Bobby when they were in the boat. Bobby said, "When it's your turn, you don't hear it coming. Everything goes black." I think you were seeing the last moments through Tony's eyes. Hence the silence and blackness. We lived through Tony's eyes and now we died through Tony's eyes. Brilliant writing and ending!!!!
  3. Lets go fellas, follow up on your part of the deal. Dom got this ready for us, let's do it!!!!
  4. Funniest thing I've seen in a long time!!! ;D
  5. Time to get back on the saddle Mom!!! ;D
  6. Man, I can't imagine fishing around a place with gators. I guess it's all what your used to. I see an occasional copperhead or timber rattler every once in a while but I would have serious issues dealing with gators. ;D
  7. There's nothing wrong with that pic and I don't think it makes her look a bit small. Be proud my man. BTW....one hell of a story!!!!
  8. Only hooks in the fingers for me. (Few trips to ER to get removed) I saw a guy last year fishing and he asked me if I could help him out. I pulled the boat over to his boat and he pointed down at his foot. This guy had a 5/0 EWG Hook through his achilles tendon. My God I almost passed out. Made me sick to my stomach. :-[ The funny thing was he wasn't pointing to his foot, he was pointing at the water that was coming in his boat. He was in a pond hopper and it was sinking. After he got on board and we tied his boat up I asked about the hook in his tendon and he said he done that first thing this morning. He said he didn't want to ruin his day of fishing and would pull it out when he got home. Talk about one tough S.O.B.
  9. Once again I had to clean off my computer screen. (I was drinking a glass of water while reading this!) ;D
  10. Awesome, just awesome!!
  11. Pretty funny Muddy!!! ;D
  12. Just wanted to say a public thank you to Road Warrior for the recommendation of Yo-Zuri Hybrid. I started using this on one of my spinning outfits and did not like it at first. When I first spooled it up, the line came coiling off by itself. > I took about 10 yards of line off the reel and problem solved. I have been using it for fishing senkos lately and very, very impressed by the limpness and the strength of this line. I have to turn the trolling motor on high and wrap it in my shirt sleeve to break it. I am talking about 6 lb. test line people. I know there are some people that don't like it, including myself in the past but I am real glad I gave it a second chance. This stuff is the real deal!!! Blaine,
  13. I have had nothing but great service with Kistler rods. I own seven rods from the Graphite to the LTX II line. Trey will treat you right on a replacement. Give him a call and tell him your situation. You will probably have the rod by the end of the week.
  14. Team Daiwa Advantage on sale at Cabela's for $69.95. Decent reel for the price. Have fun!!!!! ;D Don't forget to use the Bass Resource link to Cabela's to support the site.
  15. Thought I would get a few suggestions on a good trolling battery. I need a new battery for a 12 volt system. I am looking at the Optima batteries but will definitely take other advice if some of you know of one that is a good battery. I want something that will last all day with no worries of running down like my old one did yesterday halfway through the day. > My TM is a 46lb. thrust Motorguide and my current battery type is Interstate. I have had these batteries for 4 years now so I guess this is the life expectancy of a trolling battery? Thank you in advance for advice!!!
  16. Good God Man!!!! I would be flying high if I had a day like that. 8-)
  17. I do best in flooded timber and rip-rap in 13 feet of water. I know that is weird but there is something about that 13 foot mark. :-?
  18. I like the sunrise and sunset while fishing. It only lasts for a few minutes but to me there is something magical about this time when your heading out with anticipation of the day or heading in dog-tired counting the hours until the next trip.
  19. My thanks to all who had suggestions that I was setting the hook too hard. I went out this morning and did not lose a single fish after the hookset. I tried that snap type hookset and you wouldn't believe the difference. Every fish I hooked had the jig buried in the upper lip or side of the jaw. Not a single loss to jumping. Thanks People!!
  20. Guys and Gals, I have been known to give advice a time or two on jig fishing to other members. This is my favorite way to fish in the spring. Now I need advice as well. I am having a very hard time keeping larger bass hooked once I set the hook. I don't have any trouble at all keeping the smaller ones hooked. Larger fish (4-6 lbs.) are throwing the jig on the first jump. If I try to set the hook any harder I will fall out of the boat. ;D The jig I'm using is a Tru-Tungsten 3/8 oz. with a 4/0 hook and trailer. I can't figure it out so maybe someone on here has experienced the same thing before. I guess it may be a run of bad luck but in two weeks I have lost about 15 fish that were 4lbs. or better. :'( I need help!!! BTW, I'm fishing flooded timber and brush.
  21. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Fish Chris = Nice fish and story, Thanks!
  22. Thanks for the pics 4Biz, you keep me going after a long day....Can't wait for the weekend!!
