Saving your wacky rigged plastics from ripping!
You can also use the back end of a size 2512 Easton aluminum arrow shaft. It should be big enough. :-?

Megabass Lure Hooks?
My yellow lab can tell you how sharp the Megabass hooks are, last week he tried to eat a Dog-X in mid cast. Took me ten minutes to get the trebles out of his nose and bottom lip. He bled a little but no harm no foul. ;D Oh BTW, sometimes on eBay they will bid a pack or two of the hooks off. Keep watching!!!

Rigging hooks weedless
I just buy the Gammy weedless hooks for wacky rigging, saves me time and it's one less hassle on the boat.

Strike King 3X Zero DIFFICULT hookset!
Try it tex-posed with the hook point barely showing or rig it WACKY style with an O-ring. Fishing it wacky is more productive for me and the hookup ratio is nearly 100%. If you need weedless try the Gammy finesse wide gap weedless hooks in what ever size you like to use. I use the 1/0 size because I like'em to sink real slow.

Drought Effects Anyone?
We are having a severe lack of rain in the Mountain State (WV) right now. Today, on the job, I walked across a river in my work boots and did not even get the top of my boots wet. This same river is normally about six to seven foot in depth at this location. Anyone else with this problem this year? Come on Rain!!! :-/

Hard time finding Yozuri Ultra Soft
Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. I will stop by the Gander Mountain in Washington, Pa on the way to Cabela's next time. The Cabela's in Wheeling, WV has the Hybrid but not the Ultrasoft. I thought that was weird. :-?

Hard time finding Yozuri Ultra Soft
Where are you guys and gals getting your Ultra Soft? I realize that BPS and Cabela's carries it but I can't seem to find it anywhere other than these two places. I wish I could find it at a place where you didn't have $5.00 - $10.00 shipping tacked on to the bill. :-[Thanks for the help!! Blaine,

Boat in a truck bed?
I used to have a 92 Toyota 4 cyl. reg. cab pickup and hauled a 14' jon boat around all the time. Most trucks come with hook attachments in the bed. I used two rachet straps, one across the back and through the handles of the boat. The other across the middle of the boat next to the tailgate. You could grab the boat and shake it and the whole truck would shake. No way that thing was ever coming out. I would recommend getting a rubber mat for the bed though. Don't forget your red flag. I always used part of an old blaze orange hunting vest.

Orange Daiwa Capricorn
Anybody have any experience with the Daiwa Capricorns (orange ones) Dick's is selling right now. Normal retail is $129.99 but they are on sale for $79.99. I was thinking about picking up a 1500 size for some trout fishing over the July 4th holiday. I am normally a Shimano man when it comes to spinning reels but this thing felt smooth. :-? If anyone has some feedback (good or bad) please let me know. Thanks, Blaine
