  1. I use 7 for everything. I don’t deep crank tho
  2. I use both lines and the 10 definitely out casts the 15. Big jump in diameter, I don’t care what the diameter on the package says
  3. Sounds like you need to play around with the brakes and spool tension. I run braid to leader, straight braid and straight mono on curados and never had an issue with the brakes. Generally 2 centrifugal brakes are always on my curado k and I make adjustments with the dial as well
  4. I’m not a fan of super slick or any 8 strand braids. Always go back to original power pro
  5. My friend has a fuego lt. Horrible line lay Out of the box. couldn’t figure out how to get the shim on. There’s a small plastic thing on it that is nearly impossible to get off. We eventually ripped it off and put the shim on. solid reel besides the line lay issue at first. I’ve heard others have had the same issue
  6. I like the yo mama as a jig trailer. Have had great success with June bug on a black or black and blue jig
  7. I catch 20-40lb stripers and 10-15lb bluefish with an Alberto knot. If it works for them it will work for largemouth and smallmouth

I like dicks for things I can pick up in a pinch but most of the time they don’t have what I need
  9. Never used it. Been using an Albright or Alberto forever
  10. I start mine about 4-5’ when they get down to around 2’ I retie
  11. The flappers And body are bent. Im guessing from being stored that way over time
  12. Ordered a bunch of baby brush hogs from bass pro. About half the baits are deformed. This is a first for me from zoom
  13. Fished the reel on and off today. I think it’s due to the fact of setting the drag dry and the drag feels looser as some water gets into the reel near the drag. A simple solution for me was to tighten the drag 2-3 clicks more than I normally do when the reel is dry.
  14. I’ve caught more 5 plus lb bass on pumpkin seed berkley power worms than all other worms combined. I still use them today
  15. Good experiences or bad experiences?
  16. I’m not a reel mechanic what am I looking at here?
  17. I suggested the fuego because it is a proven reel and doesn’t break the bank. abu vs Daiwa vs Dobyns vs carbon lite is all personal preference. I’ve had bad experiences with Abu and I feel Daiwa makes a better reel. the fuego ct is basically the same reel as the tatula ct minus the t-wing line guide.
  18. I would get a Dobyns fury 734 and a Daiwa fuego ct. this will run you around $200 depending on where you buy from. This rod is the most versatile casting rod IMO and if you like it there are many others rods in the fury lineup. Good luck!
  19. Black, black/blue and some sort of green pumpkin or watermelon is what I’m throwing 90% of the time
  20. Interesting. I fish mono on mine and the reel hasn’t been wet in a couple weeks. Not sure what’s causing this I’ll just have to keep my eye on it
  21. No other reel including another curado
  22. Don’t think so hasn’t happened with any other reel
