Only reason I use lesser is ease of breaking off. With that being said line visibility would be the least of my concerns.

I’ve had this issue tying smooth monos like trilene xl to a split ring sometimes. Make sure you wet the knot and add a couple more turns.

How many wraps do you guys use when attaching 10lb power pro to 8-10lb mono/fluoro leader? I’ve always used 7 up and 7 down on 15-50lb braid with no issues.

I can’t comment on the carbonlite but I’ve had a fury 703c for a while now and it’s a very versatile rod. I mainly use mine for moving baits but works well with light Texas rig or jig

Has anyone had braid freeze when temps are above freezing? I didn’t think this was possible until today. First time it’s happened to me air temp was 36 and my 15lb power pro was icing up on me. Not sure on the water temp but it was windy as well

I always just boiled water and dipped them for 15-20 seconds. The boiling water will make the plastic a bit softer too
