What we do is not torture. Torture is what happened to our POW's in Vietnam, while the tree hugging hippies were over here were protesting like they are now. Our soldiers do fine job at protecting the rights of the average American. I do not get this mentality of protect the rights of foreign criminals. Just the humble opinion of an Average American who owes alot of gratitude to out Armed Forces. Big T
  2. I think he means like fajita wraps or pita bread. It's better and lower in carbs than regular bread. I eat double fiber bread for sandwiches. I am not what you would consider overweight, 172# currently. I was 180 once but looked like I weighed 250. It was all in my gut. I tend to eat a low carb diet because my wife is overweight and does the low carb diet. I initially started doing as support for her, because after three miscarriages she had put on 30 pounds in two years. However I feel better overall and I am helping my wife in the process. Big T
  3. Welcome Aboard! I have the Clarus in a 7ft MH, it is paired with a Shimano Symtre 4000FH, which is around the smae size as the Shperos 3000. The Symtres are built on a bigger frame. If you like that size reel look into the Sahara 4000, I believe it is the same size as the 3000 but a little lighter, and it is around 20 dollars cheaper. Alot of guys use 2500 series reels for bass fishing. I am having a hard time getting use to the smaller reel unless I am using ultralites for panfish. I think it comes from years of inshore saltwater fishing as well. Oh by the way my Clarus is six or seven years old and has reeled in everything from redfish, catfish to bass. Big T
  4. That's a nice Yellowfin. I bet that was one heck of a fight. I went Tuna fishing 6 years ago and all we were catching were small football tunas around 40 to 50 pounds. After reeling in 3 or 4 of those my arms were killing me, and I was sitting in a fighting chair. Big T
  5. Hey Tipp, Good for you! My wife and I hve started any exercise, diet program. Watch your carbs. Try to eat foods with higher protein and lower carb counts. When eating carbs take the total carbs minus fiber. That get your net carbs. Also if you drink alot of sodas, switch to diet soda or water even better. If you are exercising you will build muscle which weighs more than fat so do not get discouraged if you are not losing pounds. A better indicator will be in how many inches you lose from you waist and arms, etc. Soon as you get accustomed to eating differently some foods will not taste the same, for instance my wife and I have cut out fried food for the most part. Last week I decided I wanted some fried shrimp and catfish. It did not taste them same and made both of us sick to our stomachs (grease) Anyway good luck to you! Big T
  6. You could also go up to the Trent river right there in Pollocksville. There is a nice ramp right there beside US 17. River is not very wide so you would not have to worry about wind problems. Also if you wanted to drive a little ways, you could take 53 over to Burgaw, right before you get to I40 there is a road called Shaw Hwy/road turn left on that road and go about a mile or two and Shelter Creek boat ramp is on the left. 7. That's funny, reminds me of myself, I am also scared of needles. I also have two tattoos, one on each arm. I too almost passed out giving blood for my annual physical last year. Big T
  8. I went fishing yesterday but the wind made the lake rough as heck though. I went Tuesday and the lake was slick, 80 degrees out, and I got a little sunburn. I love it. I wish it would stay like this year round. Big T

You guys had it rough, I have spent the last three or four days fishing in 80 degree weather but that is going to end though. Today's high was 78, it is supposed to be 68 tommorrow and 47 by Sunday. Oh well. I hope you guys out there stay safe and hopefully it will warm up soon. I know there were alot of power outages and such. Big T
  10. The difference between the C and D series is the number of bearings. The diffference between the 4600 and the 5600 is the line capacity. 5600 holds more line. Big T
  11. I do not drink much anymore however I do like a glass of wine and a margarita every once in awhile. Back in the day I liked Bud Light and Bourbon/w Sun Drop. Liked them both alot, probably why I never finished college the first time around. Boy, I do not miss those days. Big T
  12. Heights Snakes,Snakes and more snakes. Big T
  13. Coaches should finish the season, however college and pro sports have evolved into big business and coaches quiting or being fired is part of the business. In the real world a person can quit or get fired from a job at any time. Why should coaches have to wait for a season to be over, that is why they work out all these escape clauses in their contracts. That is just my take on it. Big T

People going the wrong way in the Walmart parking lot then lookling at you like you have done something wrong because you are in their way. I feel like saying hey idiot that's why the arrows are painted on the street. Also parents in the store taliking to their kids like it is a democracy and they have a vote in whether or not they behave like normal human beings instead of wild animals. People talking on their cell phone while at the buffet line at a Chinese Restaurant. I have more but it would take entirely to long to list them all. Big T
  15. I would have finished the season, but I can not blame him for leaving Atlanta. That is headed nowhere team. Also to play devil's advocate, he really needed to go ahead go to Arkansas if he was going. That way he can put together a coaching staff and get a leg up on recruiting. Big T
  16. Sorry to hear of your loss, it is always tough to lose a loved one. Just remember the good times that you had with your grandfather. You and your family is in my prayers. Big T
  17. Not to hijack this thread but I fished the cooling lake at Progress Enegy's Plant today, temp was around 80 degrees with a water temp of around 63-70. I saw alot of people around me using big worms in a red shad color. Big T
  18. I do not believe that Vick will play in the NFL again. His days with Atlanta are pretty much over. I think that the Commonwealth of Virginia is going to hit him with a stiff sentence to be served after the fed sentence, even if it runs concurrent with the Federal sentence, he will be 30 when he gets out. After that I think Roger Goodall will suspend him for another year or two, by that time he will be around 31 or 32 and who knows what kind of shape he will be in. I am sure he will be in good shape but I do not know that he will be in fooftball shape. I do not feel sorry for him. He surround himself with these thugs and threw his career down toilet.Futhermore I have three Labs and I could not fathom doing something out of the way to any of them. Michael Vick makes me sick. Big T
  19. I hope they throw the book at him. Useless excuse of a person.
  20. The Shimano Clarus for $69 would be a great choice, and the Shimano Convergence for around $39 is a good rod as well I have both of these rods and I use them for everything, inshore to freshwater. Although it is not polpular on these boards I own a 6'6" St. Croix Triumph that I have not had any complaints with. They sell for around 60 to 70 dollars as well. What every you buy take the reel with you to make sure it feels good and balances out, you do not want to buy your uncle a rod that the reel is to big for. I think that the Kinectic 30 would work on any of these I fish a Kinetic 40 on a 7ft. Bps Extreme. It is a little heavy, but I need the line capacity for saltwater fishing. Hope this helps Big T
  21. I asked the BPS in Mytrle Beach to match the internet price on a rod once and they gave me this line of crap how if they did then they would have to charge shipping even though I was not having it shipped, Price would have been the same after that, made me mad so I did not buy anything, not even the hooks and lures I had in addition to the rod. Big T
  22. I do not own a Stella but I do know that alot of people use them in the Saltwater environment. However the Van Staal use to be a excellent high end reel. I am not sure about this so do not hold me to it but I believe that Zebco now owns Van Staal, if so I am not sure how it would effect its durability and quality. Sorry I could not help more. Big T

Do not underestimate Hawaii. Anything is possible just look at what Boise St. did to OU last year in the Fiesta Bowl.
