VMC Spinshot vs. standard dropshot hook
They reduce some of the twist, but its just a piece of wire so if the bait isn't tracking straight you still get twists. The spin shot style hooks are a little easier to change from or to a DS and you save the length of the tag in line. I do think the traditional DS hook gives you a better presentation because the hook is static instead of sliding around a wire. If I do use a spin shot style hook I like the Trokar Helix over the VMC.

Ned rig in grass?
Thats why ned heads have a really small hook. You snag up more often with hooks over a #2 not to mention the 1/0 every one is putting on them now. I was hesitant to go to an EWG head. I didnt think the bait would stand up and I figured the hookup rate would suffer. I was surprised to see that even the TRDs stood up well and the hookup ratio was as good or better. I found the hook on the Lifted heads to fit the smaller ned baits better then the Flatlands head.

Circle hooks = less hook sets?
They dont gut hook nearly as much as a baitholder or a standard octopus, but it does happen every now and then even with the inlines. Try neko style hooks. Not a big VMC fan, but they're neko hook absolutely sticks em.

Best Knot For Leader to Braid ?
Alberto is tough to beat

Striper Reel
A Curado or Tatula 200 will be fine

Berkley Stunna 112
I think the Duos are a little more versatile then the Visions as far what you can do with them. They arent as fragile so you dont have to worry breaking the lip if you want to bump it off cover.

Swapping out trebles for singles on Vision 110 & 110 Jr.?
The Owner single replacement hooks work really well. Getting real precisely balanced JBs to suspend with the singles can be a chore, but it is possible. There is a formula for the size hook equivalent, but again that doesn't take weight into account, hope this helps.

Berkley Stunna 112
I don't think so unless I misunderstood the description of the bait. Its supposed to shimmy on the drop or pause. There are some outstanding JBs at that $15 price point that catch fish and none of them get half the attention the Visions do. If you haven't tried Duos' JBs and or Rozantes, I would recommend trying to get your hands on a few. The Rozante 63 and 77s are the best little JBs I've ever used. There kind of like the Pointer 65 and 78s but the Duos have a weight transfer system so they cast better. The 63 is great for bass and trout in streams.

Chatterbait Questions
Ive never caught a fish on a bait thats covered in grass. The bite comes when you rip the bait free from the grass. Either they smash it, ot they hit it when it starts to sink again and you just feel the fish hanging on when you tighten the line.

What should I pair with my new rod?
I would recommend an Exceler 2500, its essentially the Fuego without the Magseal. I have 1 on my 7'1 ML Tatula and the balance is great. If you dont want to spend the $ for the Exceler, the Regal 2500 would be the way to go. The Regals are great for the money, but the threaded handle on the Excelers and above give you a better connection. Shimano makes great reels, but IMO Daiwa has them beat for reels under $150. I use braid-leader with JBs on spinning gear and FC with casting gear.

Current Favorite Hook Sharpener ?
Good look on the recommendation...I ordered 1 of the pocket sharpeners yesterday and got it a few hours ago. The little thing is legit, it out a rolled Jungle Hook and Trokar Skorpion SH really well. Does much better with bigger hooks then diamond hone pens IMO.

Need Help....St Croix Victory vs G.Loomis E6X
So out of the multiple dozens of rods in the line every single one is bad in your opinion?

Need Help....St Croix Victory vs G.Loomis E6X
On the whole I don't think there bad rods, they wouldn't sell the way they do if they were. Yes, they're over priced for what you get other then the warranty.

Current Favorite Hook Sharpener ?
For jigs and ChBs I like a file. Diamond hones will take care of the lighter hooks.

Need Help....St Croix Victory vs G.Loomis E6X
E6X are good rods but your getting a rod that's about = to the newer premiers for $200+. Whats nice about the E6X's is they make a ton of different options. If the model you want is available in the Victory, you would get more for your money. Wouldn't surprise me if GL eventually upgrades the E6X to try to close the gap with other rods at the price point especially the Victory.

Spinning rod for long casting small swimbaits
It may not be as practical or light as a 7'6 for most people, but in terms of raw distance its tough to beat.

Jackall Sasuteki Craw
They might be, everywhere Ive seen them they are on clearance. There are a few baits that are really similar in shape, but I know how it is when you want the sure thing.

Anyone ever used (or use) a MH/MF rod for weightless Texas rigs?
They definitely work pretty well. As long as you dont use a real heavy wire hook you wont have any major issues. When you use worms with thick ribs like Airtail Rattlers or Hoodaddys swing for the fences when you set the hook.

Fishing scales
The scales Boga uses are incredibly accurate as long as you know how to read it. My first Boga is nearly 20 years old and its been beaten to death and is till spot on. Bogas minimize damage to fish as well, especially tooth ones. They're the kind of thing you buy once and it lasts the rest of your life in most cases. If you plan to use it on a boat or yak put a float on the lanyard.

Braid, leader, Alberto knot, wind knots!
The line doesnt have to stack perfectly straight. If the lines stacks just a little top heavy that's fine. Gaps and hour glassing is what you have to watch out for. The LTs manage line pretty well for the most part, but all of the issues I've heard of can be resolved by using the washers. However, I don't recommend using the washers unless you have too.

Braid, leader, Alberto knot, wind knots!
Whether its on your end or the gear, line management is what causes wind knots. The way your reel stacks line is the most important. If there are any gaps at the top of the stack, it doesn't matter how well you manage the line your going have issues. Taking up slack line also causes wind knots. Make sure when you take up the line after the cast it has some tension on it. Twisted line can aggravate issues, but it generally wont cause catastrophic wind knots if you are managing the line correctly. Soft plastic baits, especially wacky rigs can cause twists as bad a spoon. Make sure the bait is rigged straight and doesn't twist on the retrieve. Suffix is a great line, but I don't get great casting performance with greater then 10lb test.
