  1. Problem? None, but you probably wouldn't throw a senko on a MH spinning rod. Just goes to prove my point.
  2. If only every manufacturer used the same criteria to label their rods. I've heard people say theyll throw senkos on a MH baitcaster.
  3. Does a light reel mean more than durability for you? I like a BG 3000 but it is heavy. But it works well for my StC rods which alot of people call "tip-heavy" I'm rough on my gear.
  4. Yeah, on my river I bring one rod and it's usually a 6' mlf. Right now it's a StC Triumph but I've also enjoyed a Fenwick HMG. My next rod is likely a StC Avid 7' mlf with a BG3000
  5. I fish all spinning and fly gear, never tried a baitcaster but I've always believed that anything over 1/2 oz is better on a baitcaster. True?
  6. Whipsnake Edit - I also liked the Curado
  7. A fast tip will be more versatile than an x-fast. It will be better suited to more techniques.
  8. Oh, and I've got an older revros. That's a great price.
  9. I'm assuming alot but I'd suggest going with a mlfast spinning setup of it's the only one I get. I'd want something faster than a Fury too.
  10. Fury will be a nice stick but I hear they're better for crankbaits than for bottom contact. I just prefer stC even with the heavy tip
  11. I spent about $30 last year on lures and tackle. Mostly on hooks.
  12. I use a loop knot for flukes, jerkbaits and topwater.
  13. FG knot is the best once you've tied it well and its reliable. I have my way, it's a bit different but I can tie it on the water in a few minutes.
  14. Catching smallies is the best and there are some d**n fine sticks on Bass Resource. Tight lines.
  15. A 4# smallie on my flyrod & a 4.5# smallie on spinning gear And preferably with a hand tied fly
  16. There are alot of factors that push smallies over here or over there. Competing factors keeps me engaged between the thrill of fighting them.

I fish xraps and RIP stops in my river for big smallies. I grab a husky jerk for deeper pools. But pike grab them too. Lost my favorite husky a few years ago to a pike. It happens.
  18. Honestly, I almost never throw just rubber skirts on my jigs. I throw alot of these instead. Many times I'll include a soft plastic trailer. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm7TgTOupMP/?igsh=c3c4ZWo0eWtmM3Jj
  19. This place is kinda remarkable. Honest thanks to Glenn and family
  20. Jeez it would be nice to use a jig that's more than 1/4 oz in the current I normally fish. Must be about the best presentation in cold water
  21. Impressive
  22. Tube Weightless weedless senko Craw jig Natural colours
  23. That niche got a huge upgrade. Good choice
  24. Twin tail grub
  25. Yup, from abrasion Edit- my experience is with river smallies in sw Ontario.
