  1. If I understand what you are saying correctly, no, the spool is rotating as I pull off line
  2. I’ve been fiddling around with the reel some more and looking carefully at the schematic. I am not missing the star clicker nor the two washers that are with it. I notice when I take the spool off and hold it in my hand that the line pulls off freely. The spool, when disconnected from everything else, is letting loose line. What does this mean?
  3. Huh! Okay then. That guy had an appetite then. Ate a 9” worm. Was fishing around for largies
  4. My brain just broke trying to figure out what this comment means
  5. I have the sneaking suspicion that this is a meanmouth bass. Can anyone confirm or deny?
  6. You, my friend, are a NY monster. Awesome
  7. SMALLMOUTH I don’t care that they are tiny!! First Missouri bass for me
  8. I think based on what you said here and what WRB commented, I can figure out what is wrong with my reel. For now, I’m going fishing. Fiddling with my gear is a thing for when I can’t fish ?
  9. I noticed something else. The drag works at very low strength. At a certain point it appears to “cap off” at this very low strength, almost negligible. Other than someone almost swerving into me outside Saint Louis, travel was very plain ?. Sitting in the truck is all
  10. Yes, removed and put back together
  11. When I pull on the line directly in front of spool, there is no drag. The line pulls off freely and only the spool rotates. The handle does not do anything. No other issues that I can see. Edit: Added a little comment to the end there about handle not spinning
  12. During travel, it appears my Shimano Sedona’s spinning drag stopped working. It seems like it is just off but I cannot figure out how to turn it back on. There is no switch that I can see. What could be the culprit?
  13. As I told @TnRiver46, I had a life-changing experience when I did cold beer + cold shower at the same time after being in the heat for a while. Unbelievable. Yet, this shower is particularly very frigid, and I was cold for hours afterward. No regrets
  14. Anyone else like em?
  15. I’m not so sure he feels the same
  16. I’ve noticed that if I try and copy what someone tells me to do here on the forum exactly, it often won’t work as well as I expect it to. But, if I use their advice as a starting point, and then apply my own style to it, I stand better odds of doing better
  17. “Camp in the Ozarks not the left lane” Well, the left lane is not very scenic. Thanks
  18. I’ll put my Ranger up against any one of y’all’s trucks ?
  19. I own Lew’s, Shimano, Daiwa, Kastking, and Abu Garcia across 7 reels. Can’t say my experiences with all of them would cause me to be brand loyal.
  20. Thought you are a Nigerian prince?
  21. Well the season is still young as far as I can see. I’ve only got 3 I think over the 5lb mark but they all hover around 6. 6.21 - Tricked out Zorro Short Arm Aggravator - NY 6.19 - Zoom mag 2 - NC Estimate ~5.5+ - Siebert Grass N Swim Jig - NY Up North I had some great days as fall creeped along. My best one was fairly close to ice over, in November
  22. How do you know I’m not just a figment of your imagination?
