I actually wanna see what my palomar looks like when tied for research purposes. It might not surprise me if the palomar just looks weird when tied.

Merriam Webster Arbor: Spindle or axle of a wheel. So the shaft of a baitcaster around which the spool turns? Yeah I don’t think I see how that would affect IPT. But smaller diameter arbor, less surface contact to cause friction on a cast? Or perhaps less mechanical work to make it revolve quickly?

Here is what I’ve been thinking recently. Let me know if you think I am on the right track here. I relate this to concepts I have of deer hunting. The biggest deer are going to be in an area of the forest with the most abundant and quality food, water, safety, and does. Similarly, a very large bass or other large predator is going to stake out an area of a lake as their own territory that provides the best food, oxygen, safety, nutrients, etc. They will outcompete smaller bass. If you are fishing and catching smaller bass, you may simply be fishing water where the big girls do not lie at that particular time. Right track?

I own a MGL 150. I use it on an iRod Harold’s Lone Star Special. I cannot imagine a better combination for light t-rigging. The most amazing part, as you say, is the comfort. The setup feels like a pure extension of my arm. Perfection.

Thank ya. First encounter with otters. I am not happy. There are four of them. Compared to last year, size of fish is a little worse this summer and catching more smaller ones. Seems like less bluegill as well. I wonder if otters are the culprit. Not good

Hard to follow up Choporoz! Lol I got a 3.8ish at ol muddy pond along with some smaller fish recently. Fishing has been slower; I discovered that there is an otter family at the pond. Again fish on the mag 2 worm.

I canoe’d across a two acre pond yesterday and I’m almost 23. Please, no applause is necessary.

Well there certainly is a lot of great advice here for working a jerkbait. However, if anyone is curious how NOT to work a jerkbait, I’d be happy to demonstrate what I do in trying to catch a fish on one. PM for details
