  1. Trailer does a few things 1. Adds bulk 2. Adds lift 3. Complements profile 4. Adds vibration (optional) 5. Adds color (optional) 6. Levels out a spinnerbait to a degree Do I always want more lift? Do I always want more bulk? This is why my answer is "sometimes". Spinnerbaits are highly effective with and without a trailer.
  2. @Aaron_H there were more there but I decided to call it quits. That spot's a good one because everybody seems to ignore one part of the underwater point. I've caught a lot of fish off that point. That was actually the biggest and makes me hopeful for some better quality. I'm at the point now on Stillhouse where I feel I know where some some bigger fish winter at but not a lot of time to catch them + they are hard to trick in this clear water.
  3. Y'all ever wonder what it would be like if zebras had feet? @FishTax you know something about zebra feet?
  4. @Smirak up to you. I will be back out on Stillhouse this coming weekend. I will be highly stupefied if a jerkbait is not wet over the course of the weekend. Definitely a big thank you to everyone who has responded so far. I don't ask questions all the time but when I do, it's Dos Equis. Actually it's because I'm really looking for feedback.
  5. Had to see what all the hubbub was about with the dredge brush jigs. I normally really don't like jigs with a lot of lead in front of the hook point but we'll see if I can make an exception for Mike. I'm hoping the dredge hook offsets some of that. My favorite by him is the G2 football. That's a great jig. I have some on the way in 3/4. Also trying dredge dock rocker in 1/2oz and some sniper jigs. Every jig I ordered from Mike is living rubber because how many other places can I get some fine living rubber jigs?
  6. PB and J on top of a rice krispy treat. Can’t beat it
  7. @A-Jay WOW!! You win. That’s a wrap folks
  8. For you kayak fishermen out there, do you have any tips for fishing a jerkbait when you’re in a kayak? Do you opt to stand when you are fishing them? Any tips for working the bait? How do you manage if you are moving when trying to fish the bait? A big reason why jerkbaits are not my strong suit is they’ve always seemed like a pain in a yak
  9. One I caught yesterday looked to be hungry. Also looked like she'd been caught recently. There was a big tear at the corner of her mouth.
  10. Really messy day of fishing and I made a lot of bad decisions but got lucky with one over 6lbs on a jerkbait. Long fish. About 23”. Windy, cold, rainy. Pardon me if I don’t look more excited, lol. Fun fish to catch
  11. Yeah man that’s why I said there’s more to it than just being familiar with a body of water, lol Anyways it don’t matter I’m going fishing
  12. I prefer a dark roast, black. Peet’s Major Dickason’s and Community Signature Blend are what I turn to usually. I make my coffee in a pour over that my old roommate traded with me.
  13. The guy who won on Fork allegedly showed up and went fishing 🤷🏻‍♂️. No practice. There are some other factors that I believe matter more than just the amount of time you get to spend practicing on one body of water. We’ve seen locals get humbled by visiting pros all the time. The tournament scene is pretty cool and I plan to do more in the future, but I do not base my life around trying to find opportunities to tournament fish. A few things could manifest and I think I could be pretty competitive. Or, my life could take a different turn and I don’t think I’d have much chance.
  14. Jordan Lake 👍🏻. I do not have guide recommendations
  15. Shoot yeah, that’s pretty much how it went for me on my first one with Koz. Slept two hours after driving 3.5 hours once off of work. Respooling 5 rods that night. That’s not to mention all the prep work I put into it the week and days before. They are a hassle for sure. A stout energy drink kept me going through the tournament.
  16. Rather jealous here y’all. Some nice fish yall are catching. I haven’t fished for nearly three weeks since the kayak tourney on Fork. Hoping to make it out to Stillhouse Saturday
  17. You are in Tennessee right? Your name is Tennessee Boy? You live in the state of Tennessee? You like Tennessee? The water doesn’t freeze everywhere, right? I believe I’ve found the answer to your question. Just go fishing 👍🏻
  18. Actually yeah I got one. I was with a couple of people booting up a system and even though it looked like it was on, nothing was showing from the monitor. So someone calls me over. I take a look at it. The monitor is off. I tell him to push the power button on.
  19. I’ve made a few good choices in my life and many bad. Seems the best choices I’ve made were always the hardest
  20. Berkley Maxscent General makes a strong case Yes
  21. Siebert order and Tatsu on clearance at Midway. That’s it for me. Still, I’m sure I put a small dent in Mike Siebert’s supply of brown living rubber and black living rubber.
