Bring back one bait..
ill break the rules and maybe list a few. - Larger ringworms with a smaller tail, like the 7.5" gene larew @Catt has posted so frequently about - Xcalibur one knocker - I believe the zoom original craw?? Might have to pot a photo later. I was given a few packs of them and they are really darn cool. Pretty long slender body and super long wavy arms. And I wasn't even fishing when these baits came around! But these are baits I would want to try given the chance.

Worms For The 2022 Season
Gambler burner worm and zoom speed worm. Speed worm to fill gaps in gambler's color lineup. For some reason the cut tail worm style is the only one that sticks out for me as a worm that attracts bigger fish. I should try more worms Plan on throwing more creatures this year. Several different creature bait styles have stood out to me in the past.

Double Indiana spinnerbait
Certainly lots to like about them. If the quality control was better and they put a good swivel on, it’d be my go-to I think. They comprise maybe 1/4 of my spinnerbaits right now. Edit: comprise not compromise dang spelling

Double Indiana spinnerbait
Sometimes the gauge is listed, sometimes it isn't. I've seen it on the packages themselves, tackle warehouse descriptions of the spinnerbait, other websites having the spinnerbaits for sale. Over time you kinda get an idea of wire thickness and can compare wire thicknesses between spinnerbaits. The reason I recommend at least 0.032 gauge is because if you are putting on your own components onto a spinnerbait, the wire can have a tendency to snap short when you are trying to create the end loop where the swivel goes. With a little thicker wire you can make one up no problems, but you also give yourself the potential freedom to adjust the blades again if you want if you notice that the first blade combination you picked doesn't work as well. If you make your own using a light wire like 0.030, you pretty much get one shot. Hope this helps By the way, from what i remember, booyah covert uses 0.035 heat treated wire, and zorro bango blade uses 0.030.

Double Indiana spinnerbait
I looked up War Eagle double indiana and I honestly can't tell if this one is a double indiana or not. Kind of looks like it but the shaping of the front blade makes me think it is a colorado.

Double Indiana spinnerbait
Booyah covert double indiana is a seriously great spinnerbait. You have another good option for getting one with two indiana blades out of the package, 3/8 or 5/8oz. Go to Stan Sloan Zorro's website and customize a bango blade spinnerbait with two indiana's. That's it for what I would recommend for store-bought double indiana's. Otherwise, yeah, just take any old spinnerbait, and I'd find a longer wire armed one with at least 0.032 gauge wire, and put your components as desired on. Maybe size 3 front and size 4 back for 1/2 oz, and 3.5 front and size 4.5 back for 3/4oz? That's probably where I would start with for blade sizes.

Aquatic Vegetation Question
Hey ya'll, Last night I was continuing watching YouTube's coverage of the 2021 Bassmaster Elite on Guntersville. The commentators often talked about the milfoil on guntersville, and how many anglers were fishing remains of it on Guntersville as a good amount of the lake is being taken over by eelgrass. One commentator - it might have been Zona - said that a reason many anglers had a preference for milfoil is because it tends to grow on a harder bottom than some other forms of aquatic vegetation. I can recall fishing on Oneida and discovering that some good locations - at least for largemouth - on this grass infested lake with lots of eelgrass, were where there was a mix of aquatic vegetation in the area, often milfoil and eelgrass with some rocky bottom forming a grass line. Taking all this into account, here are my questions. Is there such a thing as a hierarchy of grass types in a lake in order of bass preference? Is harder bottom always better when it comes to grass? What grasses are the hardest to fish in and how well do they hold bass? What grasses do you prefer to fish in the most? Watching several anglers fishing the grass, I learned a thing or two about grass fishing with texas rigs offshore.

Having realistic expectations...
As some examples, on a small two acre pond with not much deep water to speak of, north end dominated this past winter and fall for me. Often in the summer the bass are found on the south end. On a bigger lake, I went to northern shores of east-west running coves, and didn't find any sort of pattern doing that. The best location was in some of the coldest water on the coldest day, but the location had stair-stepping super steep banks on the side of a point with rocks and good amounts of baitfish present. Another good location was rock pilings on the side of a bridge that was soaking up persistent south winds for a few days and could also soak up good amount of sunshine. My last day I went over there and found a school of bass busting on shad but couldnt make em bite ? There was one particularly shallow place I caught em too. My biggest takeaway: baitfish matter the most for the period of time I was fishing

May or may not have learned some of this stuff the hard way this past winter.

2022 Lineup
I just recently got a somewhat multipurpose rod. Harold's Lone Star Special 6'9". This will be my jig/worm rod and I'm considering also trying it for shallow water, target casting with spinnerbaits. The reason I might lean towards it as opposed to my other spinnerbait rod is because the lone star special has a fast tip which might serve better for deflection. I'm hoping it can perform particularly well around thick wood. That makes my 2022 lineup iRod Cold Stone Swim and Vibrating Jig Rod + REVO Winch (spinnerbait, buzzbait, lipless, spoons) 7' Heavy, fast iRod + REVO Winch - I'm thinking of making this for things like heavy jigs, big worms, big spinnerbaits, and the johnson silver minnow in heavy cover 7'3" Heavy Lew's Carbon with a cheaper Kast King reel = frogging + punching till I wear out the combo Harold's Lone Star Special + ??? reel = jigs, worms, spinnerbaits A cheap spinning combo = senkos, devils horse Should be set!

Tired of it
I am young and healthy enough that I can fish out of a kayak almost constantly if I want, and I've spent some consecutive days this past year with many hours of fishing with no breaks except to eat. I don't seem to tire of it

Gamakatsu Round Bend: Should I go standard or 2X?
I would think that is dependent on your line size, line type, rod used, and drag setting i.e either can work edit: I see now that you requested an answer from someone with experience with the hooks. Well, I do not, but I also see that for some reason no one has replied on this yet

Spinnerbait hacks
i see em on midway in some options for $5.50. Jeez man. Currently engaged in a full on spar with the bait monkey. There is no clear winner as of right now.

Spinnerbait hacks
? 10% increase in price when there's hardly many spinnerbaits on the market that cost greater than $10. $10 for a spinnerbait was already a lot. There are lots of spinnerbaits out there that I've tried and liked. If one increases in price, there are other options

Spinnerbait hacks
Might just have to give that a try! Also... I had no idea Nichols recently jacked up their prices. Used to be $9 for a spinnerbait and $10 for a custom pulsator (both worth it). Now $9.50 for regular and $11 for custom. $11! I might be looking elsewhere.
