  1. Fury is plenty sensitive enough.
  2. I would’ve spent more time learning to fish structure rather than the log that everyone else pitches too.... but it was a very good looking log though...
  3. No idea why I didn’t think of that. I was going to slap either green pumpkin or junebug grub/craw on it, never thought about the trailer being PBJ too lol.
  4. Seibert got another order thanks to y’all... When y’all are matching up the trailer on the jig, y’all matching the peanut butter or the jelly?
  5. Keep chuckin! You miss all the shots you don’t take!
  6. What factors go into leaning towards a jig (or away) on any specific day?
  7. Definitely going to commit to the jig over the next few months seeing as cooler water supposed to favor it. What other factors do you look for on any given day to lean you towards a jig as opposed to a t-rig?
  8. god y’all are the best. Thanks!
  9. I promise I’ve read just about everything you, Catt, or any other prominent poster has put up that I can find. Y’all are a wealth of knowledge and I try to suck it up the best I can and I truely appreciate it. I mostly fish a large mill pond cypress swamp that’s fairly featureless. There’s some deep (10 ft ha ha) around the dam but 90 % of this place is less than 5 ft or less. I don’t believe there to be a big population of bass, but there is definitely a population of big bass up into teens. I’ve had good luck pitching around the cypress trees near deeper water, but have been trying to fish the structure itself as you all preach trying to throw lures on the ledge between the shallow and deep water. As there is a population of bigger bass I’ve been working on a jig here as it should appeal to them. It’s funny you mention this. I was having trouble learning to skip my Texas rig but turned into a skipping machine on a 3/8 jig or chatter bait.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions and will definitely give them a go. I actually ordered some finesse jigs recently so rigging up different sizes and nothing else is an awesome suggestion.
  11. What would you recommend to raise confidence in throwing a jig? I start each day saying I’m going to split between the jig and t-rig but always end up favoring the t-rig as I have confidence in it. ive only had one bass on jig, but it’s hard to stay on something you ain’t caught on.
  12. That’s going to be tippy. 1448 was my first boat and there were some tippy times in it.
  13. 50 a month for just line??? 20 bucks for 300 yds of power pro. (4 reels worth with backing), 30 bucks on tatsu (right day on amazon) and I’m set for at least a year for 50 bucks. That’s what? 100 two yard leaders? And the braid should get at least a year.
  14. Grabbed a pedal tray and fish finder mount for the front of the boat. Not as shiney as the new rod I wanted, but probably a better decision.
  15. Bow is usually colder because it’s on your trolling motor, couple feet into the water compared to your transom.
  16. Lol I don’t do tournaments and never plan to. Our fishing “jerseys” are camo shirts. We fish out out of a bass tracker I bought from a couple who let their college boys take it to university. It has the “B” in Bass Tracker peeled off on both sides.... We probably look like the biggest red necks when we’re out.
  17. I have two Echomap pluses. A 74cv that came with the boat up front and 73sv on the console. Will NOT share maps as they both have preloaded mapping but shares everything else.
  18. Live shrimp
  19. They turn into a different species at the 4 lb mark. Always brings a smile to see one of those.
  20. Once upon on a time... we went soft after my graduating class moved through.
  21. Grew up in Camden county, there’s some good bass to be caught around here.
  22. 4 to 5 rigs. Catch all my fish on two. 5 or 6 plano 3600’s, but catch all my fish on trick worms. Makes me wonder if i wouldn’t be better off with one rig and one bag of worms. If its sunset fishing there will be a couple beers too.
  23. I know it’s probably 100% attributed to other stuff, but I switched to a fluoro leader from big game in June and my catch rate and size sky rocketed . Probably has nothing to do with the fluoro, and everything to do with better location selection, better presentation, right lure, etc. But if it ain’t broke.... Also, tatsu is cheap when you use it in 2 yd increments lol.
  24. I have not ever had a trip where they wouldn’t eat a trick worm, a senko, or a fluke. Maybe didn’t load the boat, but haven’t had a day where I couldn’t get a bite on one.
  25. Let’s be real, is there really ever a time that soft plastics don’t work? I mean it may not always be the best option, but they just about always work.
