How are y’all “holding the fish” while you get your scale and measuring stuff ready in a kayak? When I’m in my boat that’s what live wells are for, but needless to say my kayak doesn’t have one ?

Ethanol free and sea foam. don’t need marine sea foam if you use ethanol free.

I commute 80 miles round trip a day. I already budget a good bit for gas. It won’t keep me from taking the boat out.

Went from mono to braid and back to mono. I miss the casting performance, but don’t miss superline hooks, using weird scissors to cut it, leaders if you use them, or the cost. outside of frogging and spinning tackle, no real reason to deviate. All the sensitivity crap (and fluoro) catches fishermen and not fish.

Depends what you’re fishing in. New bait stays on the hook better. Less snags.

My hook up ratio is horrid with a wacky rig so I just Texas rig it all the time. find a hard time believing the weight difference with the hook makes that big a difference in the fall rate. Takes forever for my Texas rigged Senko on a 3/0 gama to go down.

when you line is taut. When it’s not, I’d say the other two are better. i spend allot of time on semi slack line.

I struggle with it too. I ended up just going with a uni knot for everything. We had a winter storm blow down a few of our oak trees and I tied them back up with a uni knot too out Of habit

1/4 oz jig head and a plastic is more than enough for a MH baitcaster. I often cast flukes and senkos weightless on one no issue.
