I have been so busy lately I haven't had much time to fish, but I managed to sneak in a couple of short trips. I had 15 minutes before picking up my kid when I got the dink, and the other came on my lunch break yesterday. The wind was blowing incredibly hard so bank fishing was tough, but I'll take catching one fish on my lunch break over eating a turkey sandwich at my desk any day. Hopefully someday I'll learn how to take a good picture of a fish. lol

Nice fish, and nice report as always. Those light colored smallies are beautiful. Quite different from what we see around here. I'm curious how you removed the hooks. Did you use the "through the gill" method shown on BR, or do you have another method? I think it's interesting (and comforting) to know that those fish are alive, and eating with the hooks in there.

I got to fish for the first time in what seems like forever yesterday. The day started with the kid in the drive through pouring hot coffee all over my hand, then it was boat trouble in the form of a bad battery so I had a feeling it might be a tough day. The fishing was tough, but we had a gorgeous day. I was just thankful to be on the water. I had one interesting catch. We saw some fish chasing shad up ahead of the boat so I was threw out as far out as I could to get to them. I let my lipless crank fall through before reeling it, when I felt something. I set the hook, but nothing happened. I thought I was hung up, but then I felt my line move...and stop...and move again. I had no idea what was going on until I pulled it out of the water. I snagged a catfish right in the middle. At least I know my hooks are sharp. ?

My Wife Always Laughs
I laugh if my wife asks whether she should wear these shoes with that purse, or this purse with those shoes. I usually say, "Does it really matter that much?" My wife laughs when I'm trying to decide if I need to throw a watermelon worm vs a watermelon red worm. She says, "Does it really matter that much?" Seems fair.

What is this creature bait?
Whatever it is, it’s just about big enough to boil it, and eat it yourself. ?

Total shoulder replacement recovery?
Never had anything like that yet, but I believe there are some here who have. Wish you the best in your surgery & recovery.

An Announcement From Me
Sorry about your mom & uncle, Glenn. Thankful to hear that you're doing well with your health. We all love your videos, but your priorities were in the right place during those trials. Hoping for better years for you going forward. Thanks for all you do to help your "internet fishing friends".

Hey You Baseball Fans
Wow! Pause the video at 29 seconds, and look at the coaches' faces. They're covering their mouths in disbelief. I think most umpires try to do a good job, but they all make mistakes...just like the rest of us. That call did not look like an honest mistake to me. He decided on that call before the pitch was thrown.

Great fish. Congrats!

Spring Weather
I'm no engineer or chemist, but couldn't it be used for treating icy roadways (big $ Dept. of Transportation contracts), certain cleaning solutions, abrasion/power washing, weed/pest control, or for industrial cooling processes? I know there would be challenges to these things, but there has to be an industrious business person who can find a way to make billions off of this.

Yes, sir. It's almost out of the bank, and the current was so fast I had a difficult time getting any lures to touch the bottom before getting swept away. Thanks. It was a fun fish to catch. I probably should've done a better write-up. It did several missile launch jumps on the way. There were some small kids behind me yelling when it jumped. I let it run a little longer than I normally would because they were enjoying it. It was great.

Went to the river on my lunch break today since it was such a gorgeous day. Didn't have any luck for the majority of the time I was there. White bass were jumping everywhere, but I couldn't even get one of those to bite. When I was just about to go back to work I spotted a jumping school of white bass. I decided to throw my fat albert grub right in the middle of them one more time, let it fall through, and call it a day. This fat smallie is what came back on the cast. Turned it into a mighty good trip.

Guide ripped off?
I replaced a guide that came off of one of my old rods that I've had since I was a kid. If I can do it, you can. It didn't look as good as it did from the factory, but it worked.

How many lipless cranks too many?
If you're nuts it sounds like many of us are in the same shoes. Think about it like this. @Bluebasser86 probably finds that many hanging in trees every year. ?

No bass on the lunch break fishing trip today, but I managed to catch a 5 lb flathead on a Yum Dinger. I'm always thankful when I get a chance to go fishing rather than sitting at my desk at lunch.
