  1. Wow! Pause the video at 29 seconds, and look at the coaches' faces. They're covering their mouths in disbelief. I think most umpires try to do a good job, but they all make mistakes...just like the rest of us. That call did not look like an honest mistake to me. He decided on that call before the pitch was thrown.
  2. Great fish. Congrats!
  3. I'm no engineer or chemist, but couldn't it be used for treating icy roadways (big $ Dept. of Transportation contracts), certain cleaning solutions, abrasion/power washing, weed/pest control, or for industrial cooling processes? I know there would be challenges to these things, but there has to be an industrious business person who can find a way to make billions off of this.
  4. We appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge and experience the way you do.
  5. Yes, sir. It's almost out of the bank, and the current was so fast I had a difficult time getting any lures to touch the bottom before getting swept away. Thanks. It was a fun fish to catch. I probably should've done a better write-up. It did several missile launch jumps on the way. There were some small kids behind me yelling when it jumped. I let it run a little longer than I normally would because they were enjoying it. It was great.
  6. Went to the river on my lunch break today since it was such a gorgeous day. Didn't have any luck for the majority of the time I was there. White bass were jumping everywhere, but I couldn't even get one of those to bite. When I was just about to go back to work I spotted a jumping school of white bass. I decided to throw my fat albert grub right in the middle of them one more time, let it fall through, and call it a day. This fat smallie is what came back on the cast. Turned it into a mighty good trip.
  7. I replaced a guide that came off of one of my old rods that I've had since I was a kid. If I can do it, you can. It didn't look as good as it did from the factory, but it worked.
  8. All the celebs want to fish with @TnRiver46!
  9. I would love to have a copy please. Thanks!
  10. I’d love to see them if there aren’t legal issues with posting them.
  11. If you're nuts it sounds like many of us are in the same shoes. Think about it like this. @Bluebasser86 probably finds that many hanging in trees every year. ?
  12. No bass on the lunch break fishing trip today, but I managed to catch a 5 lb flathead on a Yum Dinger. I'm always thankful when I get a chance to go fishing rather than sitting at my desk at lunch.
  13. I haven’t checked this thread in a few day, and come back to see these fantastic beasts. Wow! Congrats, guys! @Pat Brown & @AlabamaSpothunter
  14. I bought a pack recently, but haven’t used them yet. Hopefully, I will get to this week. You never really know until you see them in the water, but they seem like they are going to have pretty good action.
  15. Too many lipless? That’s just crazy talk. As long as you don’t take mine you can never have too many. ?
  16. We do not have an office/company owned lake like that, but I am about 10 minutes from a park on the river where I go to fish at lunch every chance I get. Looks like a nice pond you have there. Too bad there's no fish.

I bought a pack of H2O EWG hooks on clearance just to try them. I don't who makes them, but they seem pretty good to me.
  18. Look at all those different lures! Jerkbait, jig, swimbait, and a green worm, but no purple worm? Next thing we know you’ll have a spinnerbait tied on. ?
  19. I guess that's technically correct. I'm not greedy. I'd be happy with one of those fish. ?
  20. Do you get kickbacks from the bait monkey @A-Jay? Now I need to get some of those. Wow! ?
  21. I think it'll be between a lipless & TX rig for me. The lipless will jump out to an early lead in the spring, but the TX rig should have a commanding lead by late summer. However, the lipless could pull out a win if I can get on the schools in the fall. Whatever lure comes out on top, it should be a lot of fun.
  22. I've checked the free desktop site several times. It aggregates a lot of info. Water temp is the only thing I am interested in on their site, but that has not proven to be very reliable for my local lakes. I would expect the premium version to be better, but the free version hasn't made me want to pay for it. YMMV I'll be curious to hear if others had better luck with their area lakes.
  23. I use these same Eagle Claws Neko hooks @Bluebasser86 mentioned for weightless wacky rigs. I use the Berkley Fusion 19 weighted wacky hooks if I need to add weight. Both work well for me.
