  1. Great info! How does the viper head jig do fishing around rocks from the bank rather than from a boat? I don't use jigs much from the bank because I lose so many in the rocks.
  2. @king fisher A rooster fish is such a cool looking fish!
  3. I think that’s a very interesting idea. Maybe there could be a section on the site called the “Trophy Room” where folks who have made significant contributions to the sport (like Tom) are recognized. I’m sure there’s a lot that would go into that, but it’s an idea that is worthy of consideration IMO. Good thought @A-Jay.
  4. Wow! What a wonderful opportunity. Hope you have a great trip. Please be sure to document, and share with all your BassResource friends.
  5. I'm out of likes for the day, but WOW! Nice fish!
  6. So sorry to hear this. My condolences.
  7. Merry Christmas to everyone at BR! Also, a sincere thank you to @Glenn and all of the moderators for making this one of the best forums around.
  8. Two? You can't have just two. You have to have at least 3 because you need a worm, a craw, and a creature, right? You really need about 10...with multiple subcategories for each. 🤣 Here are the 3 (5) I don't leave home without: 1a. Senko 1b. Trick Worm 2. Rage Menace 3a. Brush Hog 3b. Rage Bug
  9. That is really cool. Thanks for the info. I’ll have to look it up.
  10. When I tell people about the fish I catch they often reply with, "ha, ha, ha!" I assumed they were laughing, but now I wonder if they all stutter and are really trying to say, "ha, ha, ha...hammer!" 🤣
  11. A circular lake? Where the fishing never ends! 🤣
  12. @Bluebasser86 & @TnRiver46 Y'all trying to get sent to the principle's office posting these drum pictures? I can hear @roadwarrior calling you in to say...
  13. He is still working to get another shot at one. I'd love to be there to help him when he gets it.
  14. I caught this one last Friday. It helped me fulfill my fishing goal of catching a fish in every month of the year in 2023. It may seem like a small thing to the dedicated anglers of BR, but it's a first for me. 2023 was a blessed year in many ways. I'm thankful for the friends who helped me with this. One of which is BR's very own @roadwarrior. He helped me in several months this year. If you're reading...thank you too, David. 😊 PS - I don't hold roadwarrior responsible for any of the drum I caught...just the bass. 🤣
  15. Sounds like a great day, and an exciting future. Congrats!
  16. Wow! I'm with @TnRiver46. That's the kind day you never forget. Congrats on a great day! This fish looks like it ate a softball! 🥎
  17. @T-Billy Unfortunately, it happens to us all. They're still scared because they heard you say these words as you were leaving...
  18. You make the muskies think that too. When you break out the hat they know they're in trouble! 🤣
  19. Unfortunately, I believe it was only a one day sale.
  20. It should say 85DEC
  21. I don't have precise weights, but here are my best 5 smallies of 2023. I'd be happy if this were it for the year, but I'm hopeful that I'll get more chances before the year is done.

@Sam That timeline is scientifically accurate. My time in the aimless wandering section of the graph is spent at the beef jerky counter. They have several varieties of jerky…and they give samples. Free beef jerky balances out the “no squeegee” problem for me. 😂 Be prepared for there to be 2,000 people in there no matter what hour of the day it is. It’s crazy.
  23. Good to hear that there's news to be thankful for on Thanksgiving! Stay strong!
  24. Got a couple of nice smallmouth yesterday. On the fish in the second picture. I felt a hard pull on the line, but when I pulled back it didn't budge. I turned to my partner and said, "I'm hung up", and pointed my rod directly at the snag to let it break off. As I was waiting for it to break the "snag" started running hard to the left. I kind of freaked out. About the time I got myself under control the fish launched out of the water like a rocket. I got a good look at it, and my heart started racing again. I was afraid that we were not going get it, but after several hard dives at the boat she was in the net. My partner got a couple nice ones as well. What a day.
