  1. I thought about posting a picture of a drum next to my foot for @TnRiver46 & @LrgmouthShad, but decided I did not want to incite @roadwarrior & @ol'crickety.
  2. Sounds like a fantastic day. Nothing like seeing your kids grow and succeed. Congrats!
  3. Prayers for him and the family.
  4. Maybe someday I'll get a chance. I love seeing the pictures of the places you fish. I know it would be awesome, but that's a long way for this southern boy.
  5. Only 4? Look out! That means I only need 4 more 100 bass days to catch up to you! ?
  6. Not a single bass for me on my Monday trip. All I could catch was drum, catfish, and this buffalo. This one was fun on 6 lb line.
  7. @thediscochef That fish has huge, bulging eyes, and a mouth bigger than your fist. Whoever said that was a 2 pounder is crazy.
  8. Yes, ma’am! Congrats!
  9. Glad you're OK, and impressed that you had the fortitude to stick with it. I feel like most people would've given up, but you didn't. These pictures are just...wow. Beautiful spot. 49 fish...wow again.
  10. That is an accurate statement. I'm thankful to get to fish with him. I learn something every time I go with him. He has definitely made me a better fisherman.
  11. I'm late posting, but I was fortunate enough to get to tag along on a fishing trip with @roadwarrior& his friend David (sorry I didn't get his BR screen name) last week. It was a great trip. The day started with a good breakfast, and great conversation. It would've been a good day if it had ended there because I got to meet a new friend, but add beautiful weather, great water, and catching a boatload of fish to that and it became a day I won't soon forget. We started out drifting with minnows, but the drum, sauger, and catfish made us switch to artificials. I tried throwing spinnerbaits, and lipless cranks, but the only thing getting bites were soft plastics. We caught fish on several different varieties, but the Rage Menace was the champ. It didn't matter what color it was. If it was a menace it got bit. Kent caught some on a Rage Bug, and I caught a couple on a brush hog, but the menace showed out all day. Among the three of us we ended up catching 45 fish. Mostly smallmouth, a few largemouth, one spotted bass, one striper, a few white bass, catfish, sauger, and drum. If we had been fishing in a drum tournament I would've gotten a check. ??‍♂️ I didn't end up with many pictures because we were too busy catching fish, and grabbing the net. I'll take that any day though. Here are a few I got. The last one is one that Kent caught. I don't think it was the biggest fish of the day, but I think it was the prettiest fish of the day. A big thanks to Kent & David for letting me tag along. I hope we get to do it again soon!
  12. Congrats on the new PB @ScottW! Great fish.
  13. I’ve seen some similar to those at my local store. I have never been able to ID them anywhere either. I decided that they must be a Walmart exclusive. Let us know if they’re any good when you try them.
  14. Woo! There’s the fish, and the hat. You’re the man!
  15. All of the ones y'all listed are great. I'll add @T-Billy to the list. He makes catching monster muskies look so easy. Plus, he has a cool hat. ?
  16. Nice fish. Way to go!
  17. Prayers for y'all here too. Those things can get you down if you let the worry get to you, but you seem to have a great outlook. I know getting out to fish helps me reset my head when I'm stressed. Keep taking care of the family & hang in there.
  18. This feels like a teaser @A-Jay. Very nice fish!
  19. I'm glad you got to fish with him. He's top notch. I definitely recommend that you fish below the dam with him if you get the chance. Below is a sample of what you're in for.
  20. Wow, you covered a lot of ground in that one. Thanks!
  21. @king fisher Congrats & thanks for sharing! @DaubsNU1 No weight on the goggles? Does that mean you've caught bigger pink goggle? Perfect post following the king. ?
  22. @TnRiver46 caught a fish on a spinnerbait!?! Everybody better get their lives in order... ?
  23. I agree. They taste good too.
  24. I had a couple of spare hours between other scheduled events on Saturday so I decided to see if I could catch a fish. I decided to go to the river rather than a friend's pond because I expected a crowded family event to be there. Little did I know there was a MLF tourney at the river. ?‍♂️It wasn't too bad. Just me, and 115 of my closest friends fishing my spot. The picture below is of the overflow parking because every lot was full. I got to the park just as the weigh in was starting so everyone was speeding in to fish the rip rap where I was for one last fish. When I'm on the bank, and a tournament angler comes up I usually try to give way. Most people seem to appreciate that & are willing to chat as they pass by. All five boats I talked to said the same thing. They caught a few small fish, but no keepers. I looked up the results and it was a tough day for most. 68 of the 115 boats caught 1 fish or less. I was at zero fish myself. One guy suggested that I move down the grassy area if I wanted to catch a small fish. I had about 15 minutes left before I had to leave so I decided to try it. Sure enough I hooked one little smallie. It was only 8-9 inches long, but it was extremely angry. Hit my TX rig Rage Menace like a freight train. It turns out that my zero pound bag would've tied for 74th place in the tourney. ?
