  1. You have six fingers on your right hand. I know someone who is looking for you. ?
  2. Congrats! Hopefully the first of many.
  3. Could it mean that your wife is about to discover what the bait monkey is and your fishing life is about to change? She's on to you!
  4. That sounds like an upper level limnology paper, my friend.
  5. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
  6. I know that's true. My mom was a teacher too, but it was elementary so I was free from that by high school.
  7. Nice fish. Congrats!
  8. From the time I found this forum I believed that there were a lot of great people on here, but a group of fisherman saying they didn't skip school to go fishing?!? I'm past the statute of limitations on my school years so I'll go ahead and admit that I did it...but only once. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ??
  9. Beautiful smallie!
  10. I always notice the pictures with the bright blue jigs because it looks so unusual. We don't have to understand why they bite it. We just have to keep throwing it as long as they do, right? You should name that one the "blue flame" bladed jig because it's HOT!
  11. This doesn't sound crazy to me. It sounds brilliant!
  12. They always seem to choke on that blue bladed jig. That thing is
  13. I like a lot of colors, but if I had to pick I'd say watermelon and tequila sunrise are probably my favorites.
  14. We were supposed to go fishing today, but we had to postpone it because of high water on our lake. I did make it to the creek bank at a park on my lunch break though. I was walking along the bank trying to decide where to start when I saw two decent ones next to a fallen branch about 6-8 ft from the edge. I made a cast well before I got to them so I wouldn't scare them away. The water was crystal clear so I got to watch the whole thing. They both checked it out, but this one didn't hesitate to eat my watermelon ned rig. It looked skinny, but measured about 17 in, and right at 2.5 lbs. There were a lot of baby bass in the creek too. Maybe that bodes well for the future of this creek.
  15. Congrats on the nice fish, and the house. I pray things go well with your mom.
  16. I have a friend who likes to put in at this ramp, and it is like this every time. Kind of creepy.
  17. Better watch out. They might figure out which truck is yours.
  18. You going to the Tennessee or Alabama end of Pickwick? The Alabama end is above flood stage right now, but it's supposed to crest today, and start going down tomorrow. Like @TnRiver46 said, you'll probably be OK as long as you don't get too close to the dam. If you're going to the Alabama end of Pickwick you need to be aware of the rocks that are mainly on the south side of the river. They are normally visible, but when the water level is up they might be just under the surface. That could make things messy in a hurry. Be safe, and good luck.
  19. Welcome, thank you for your service, and good luck figuring the bass out. This site is a great place to learn. There are a lot of good folks posting here that have vast fishing knowledge and experience.
  20. It feels good to find equipment that fits you and your style. Congrats on finding yours.

Wow! I bet that’s a serious adrenaline rush.
  22. You should always wear underwear that you have confidence in when you go fishing. ?
  23. Fishing in the rain is about the only way we can fish in our part of the country lately. Too bad we can't share some of this rain with the areas suffering from a drought.
  24. Congrats @Bluebasser86! Those are some nice looking trophies. Thanks for taking us along the journey with you. Always a good read.
  25. I love the anticipation of setting up the night before. It's one of the many great parts of the fishing experience for me.
