Memories, my top 5 giant bass
Thank you for sharing your experiences @WRB. Any one of those fish is a catch of a lifetime and you got to experience it several times. The fact that you have such experience, and you are willing to share it in a humble way is one of the reasons your input is respected on this forum. Kudos to you.

Suggestions on Choosing Casting Reel
I’m pretty new to baitcasters too. My first one was a Daiwa. It was very easy to learn so I’ll vote Daiwa too. I’ve never had a Shimano, but there are a lot of good fishermen that love them. The best suggestion I got when I started learning was to get some cheap line and practice a lot before you get out on the water to fish. That saved me a good bit of money on line, and frustration. Good luck! I bet you’ll be an expert before long. Another suggestion would be to check out the BassResourse video on How to cast a baitcaster.

Best style of trailer for Chatterbaits?
To mimic a fish I like a Rage Swimmer or Blade Minnow. For a craw I like a Rage Menace/Bug.

Bank Fishing w/Jerkbaits
I've caught some from the bank with a jerkbait. I have also donated some to the rocks too.

Okuma psycho stick 7’2” M
I have a 7'5" MH Psycho Stick that I got from a friend. I've only had it on the water a couple of times, but it's easily the nicest rod I have. I've noticed feeling things I don't feel with my other rods. It's light, sensitive, casts well, and it looks impressive. The handle has a bit of a narrow feel, but it hasn't been a problem for me. I haven't had a lot of experience with it yet, but I really like it so far. I think @roadwarrior was planning to do a writeup on it, but I don't know if he's finished it yet.

Snackle Box
BR is a very cultured fishing site. Don't eat the chartreuse cheese on the charcuterie board though. ?

Latest Catch Pics Thread
I haven't fished much lately, and haven't caught much (except drum) when I have so it's been a while since I posted in this thread. I had about an hour and a half before dark. It was sunny, a little chilly, and very windy. I tried my usual spots on this pond, but got nothing. Since it didn't look like I was going to catch anything I decided to make it a practice session for pitching, skipping around the docks, and casting into the wind. I decided to give the deepest part of the pond a shot right before I left, and I caught one. It was a dink, but I'm on the board in '22. I got it on a jig, which is a lure I intend to use more this year. I always say that, but I never do it. Maybe this will be the year it happens.

The Lost Sea
I’ve been to several tourist caves, but the underground lake at the lost sea makes it my favorite. It’s unique. Definitely a worthwhile stop.

That’s impressive. It’s much more likely that I would lose that many rather than finding that many. ?
