  1. Congrats! Nice fish.
  2. There are times when I want to sneak out to a pond or riverbank to enjoy the solitude, but the best/most memorable fishing trips I've had were almost always with someone else. Maybe I'm just lucky to get to fish with good folks.
  3. Same with ours.
  4. Welcome, and thank you for your service. I’ve always thought center hill looked like a great place to fish, but I’ve never had the opportunity to fish it.
  5. Maybe they just haven’t found a horse that swims fast enough to catch fish. ? The mods, and the folks that post on this site are great. Thank you all for what you do.
  6. Sounds like a trip he'll never forget.
  7. Nice catch & good luck on getting that 4.5 pounder. I hate it when the picture doesn't do the fish justice. Some people take a picture of a 3 lb fish and it looks like a 5 pounder. I take a picture of a 5 pounder and it looks like it's 3 lbs.
  8. I saw one that was caught in the TN river several years ago. My friend's dad caught it when we were kids. It was the weirdest fish I had ever seen at the time.
  9. Congratulations! It feels great seeing your kids have success doing things they love.
  10. Either a lizard, or worm on a TX rig for me.
  11. Obviously that is a lucky shirt. @BrianMDTX ?
  12. Looks like you got some nice fish, and some happy little fishing partners. Hard to beat that!
  13. Hopefully she’ll let you borrow her good spinning combo from time to time @galyonj. Lol
  14. I agree that those are some cool looking fish. Very nice patterns on them.
  15. I’m pretty sure he is Tennessee’s all time leader in TD passes...to the opposing team.
  16. I'd call that a little bit of bacon with a bunch of other stuff to throw away. ?
  17. Hopefully he’ll land the next one. Keep on trying.
  18. That looks like a winning ratio to me! Haha
  19. Nice! That’s a good looking jig, and a good looking fish.
  20. I don't have that particular rod, but I have several H2O rods and I think they're all very good for the price. I have an H2O xpress tac-40 rod that I prefer over my Dobyns, Fenwick, and Daiwa rods. That's not a knock on Dobyns, Fenwick, or Daiwa. They're great rods. I just prefer the tac-40. I agree with the above posters that the aird-x is hard to beat for $50, but I am not hesitant about buying H2O xpress rods. They sometimes ring up cheaper than the listed price too.
  21. I’m pretty sure that every BR member has lost their head over a fish at some point in their life. ?
  22. @Glenn usually has a video on how to improve just about any technique, but I bet he hasn’t ever done one for that. ?
  23. That’s a beautifully colored fish.
  24. I have both. I really like both, but I prefer the 6:1 for almost everything except t-rigs. The 8:1 seems way, way faster. So fast that I have a hard time keeping moving baits off the surface with it. YMMV, but I'd go with the 6:1 for all around use, and an 8:1 specifically if you need to take slack up quickly. You'll have a nice reel either way though.
