  1. Nice painting, nice memory, and a priceless gift.
  2. Thanks!
  3. Thanks to @roadwarrior for letting me tag along with him yesterday. I always feel like I learn something, and have a great time when I get to fish with him. The bite was slow in the heat, but we both managed to land a few. Mostly small, but a couple decent ones. This one was one of those times when you see a perfect spot that requires a perfect cast, and you have one shot at it. I won't hit a spot like that on the first cast every time, but this time I dropped a rage swimmer right in its face. It was a jumper so it was a really fun fight.
  4. Yep. I really enjoy making sure a catfish never bites anyone after I catch it.
  5. I know someone who subscribed a few months ago. He's shown me most of what he's been sent, and it is usually pretty good looking stuff. He got a nice looking glide bait, various types of crankbaits, different types of soft plastics, etc.
  6. Well, it looks like you got a really good hook set. ?
  7. We'll probably have something like Tony Stark's JARVIS in our sunglasses at that point that will probably say, "There's a 3.2 pounder next to that laydown." before we even cast.
  8. @TnRiver46's food posts always look good. @bulldog1935 has some good looking ones too. @Nelson Wormefeller's chicken oozing out of a can? I'll have to take your word for it being good. ??
  9. I didn't take my FIL as mentioned in the above threads, but I did help him move some furniture before I went fishing. Maybe it helped. haha I caught a few dinks, and one decent one. This one hit a green pumpkin trick worm.
  10. Based on the posts from the past few days, it sounds like it's a good time to go fishing with your father in law. My FIL doesn't fish, but I may have to ask if he'll go with me anyway. ?
  11. I agree. They are pretty fun to catch, but it can get interesting trying to get a hook out of those slippery jokers.
  12. Great day indeed! Congrats on the 10 pounder.
  13. Congrats! Hopefully there will be many more.
  14. Congrats! Nice fish.
  15. There are times when I want to sneak out to a pond or riverbank to enjoy the solitude, but the best/most memorable fishing trips I've had were almost always with someone else. Maybe I'm just lucky to get to fish with good folks.
  16. Same with ours.
  17. Welcome, and thank you for your service. I’ve always thought center hill looked like a great place to fish, but I’ve never had the opportunity to fish it.
  18. Maybe they just haven’t found a horse that swims fast enough to catch fish. ? The mods, and the folks that post on this site are great. Thank you all for what you do.
  19. Sounds like a trip he'll never forget.
  20. Nice catch & good luck on getting that 4.5 pounder. I hate it when the picture doesn't do the fish justice. Some people take a picture of a 3 lb fish and it looks like a 5 pounder. I take a picture of a 5 pounder and it looks like it's 3 lbs.
  21. I saw one that was caught in the TN river several years ago. My friend's dad caught it when we were kids. It was the weirdest fish I had ever seen at the time.
  22. Congratulations! It feels great seeing your kids have success doing things they love.
  23. Either a lizard, or worm on a TX rig for me.
  24. Obviously that is a lucky shirt. @BrianMDTX ?
  25. Looks like you got some nice fish, and some happy little fishing partners. Hard to beat that!
