I bought one for our Wii. I was disappointed in the graphics and the controls. I thought it was difficult to use, didn't respond well. But then, I'm not a gamer. I also didn't like the fact that you have to earn your way up to more and better tackle. Heading for Ocean City with the fam, next week. While they're at the beach I thought I might give some of the pier fishing a shot. I have no idea what to bring in the way of tackle, hooks, artificials, etc. I'm sure I could rent stuff, but if I already have it, why rent it. What species should I target, and when. I have a couple of Musky rods as well as some larger cranks and spinners. Any advice would be appreciated.

At our local pond last night for a little evening and night fishing. Caught 2 nice Crappies, on tiny Ikas, tipped with a Crappie nibble. 3 fair size bass, all on either a Ragetail Anaconda or a Ragetail Toad, both Texas rigged. But the surprise came when I saw something swimming in the water and thought maybe it was the Muskrat that lives around the pond. I threw a black Jitterbug past it and pulled it toward the critter but to my surprise, when the Jitterbug got to it, he hit it. I proceeded to reel in what turned out to be a 3 1/2 foot Northern Water snake. Fortunately I didn't have to worry about taking it off the hook as it fell off right at the bank when i lifted it out of the water. All in all, a fun summer evening.

I still have the feeling this divorce thing might be nothing more than a ratings gimmick. Wait and see if they don't somehow start to reconcile after they've milked the separation for all its worth.

Don't forget the original floating silver minnow, the one that started it all.

First of all, I don't fish a jig that much, not a confidence bait for me, so I don't know whether trimming helps or hurts. I did trim some of the brush guards even with the hook point and I thought they were way too stiff so I thinned them out as well. I have thinned out some as well, and, left them long. It seems to me that quite a forceful hookset is necessary to pull all that fiber out of the way and get the hook in the mouth. Maybe that's why I don't have much confidence in it. I recently took one of my jigs and cut the brush guard off altogether, figuring if I'm not in weeds, does it really need to be there? I fished with it a few times but so far haven't caught anything. I was using a Space Monkey that had lost it's "arms" for a trailer.
