That's why it's a dream. Although I do believe I'll be in the woods in my lifetime, and so will other survivors, but that's a different topic.

My dream is to build a cabin in the woods as well as build a small private lake to stock, maintain, and fish, far away from civilization.

RES is usually a complete dud in the same places RLT is slaying for me. Half my RES don't run true and the half that do don't really produce. Very very overrated bait in my experience. RLT is one of my best baits.

I'll never get it. I use EWG for everything and almost nothing gets away from them. Maybe I'm just so bad that it works. Not even being sarcastic. We've all seen so many people say they lose fish on EWG. Literally couldn't even force that to be my experience.

I would say don't take these medications at all, period, unless you really, and I mean really, can't stand the pain. There's a reason fewer and fewer doctors will prescribe them. And I mean you should be writhing in agony before considering them.

I would either sell the RH reels or use the RH reels for chuck and wind baits and use the LH reels for baits you move with the rod.

I don't have a dream setup for such a simple rig that can be fished on darn near anything, but I find a 3 power Dobyns with 10lb line on a casting reel to be great.

6'6"-7' MH/F casting and 6'6"-7' M/F or MF casting After that, 7'3"-7'6" H/F casting or 6'6"-7' M or ML/F spinning depending on where you live and where you fish. Beyond that, you're doing more harm than good as a bank angler, and in the vast majority of cases you really should be leaving the house with just your MH casting setup. Less is more when bank fishing.

I would never ruin a great fishery, a place I'm in paradise doing what I love and having the time of my life each time, to get my name in a dumb book. It's not that remarkable, nobody cares except for people like us who love fishing and we're a serious minority. I'd take pics of the fish and the scale but that's it.

Jumping out onto a stone slab in the pond from the bank to get a better angle and slipping and falling in back first, only to notice a metal rod a few inches from me that would have easily impaled me. Trying to free a lipless crankbait from weeds and having it pop loose and fly back at my face at 100mph (fast, ok, fast) and hitting half an inch below my eye.

Humanity's willingness to kill this planet and the denial by some who are offended on behalf of the rich elites who couldn't care less in order to keep the destruction going in the name of money is appalling. One day sooner than we think we will all suffer the consequences and it will be apocalyptic.
