Those painful pet peeves!
- trash/cigarette butts/fishing line/used plastics left on the ground or in the water - puddles of spit at the ramps, docks, walkways - people seeing me catch fish so they creep up and fish right next to me - people letting their dog jump and splash around in the water near me while I'm fishing - people letting their kids come up to me and pester me by touching my gear, asking if they can "try", and getting in the way of casting - "catch anything?" - just humans

We don't want MORE FISHERMAN
I don't like fishing pressure and I like to be alone on the water for a multitude of reasons including that I'm a loner. so I agree. Call me selfish.

December: the kiss of death for bass anglers?
Historically I'd say yes for us in the North, some of us start to struggle as early as October. But that's slowly changing as climate change takes hold. It's been warmer and warmer. We're having a week straight of 50s and 60s in Indiana just before Christmas. I was catching a lot of bass on a spook in a pond that is no deeper than 6-7 feet all through November.

Windy Day Jig Fishing
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes ponds are impossibly pressured.

A change in my approach to bass angling...
I've gone more power fishing as the industry has gone more finesse fishing, with great results.

R u a Tackleaholic?
I guess once upon a time I used to be, but then I realized somewhere along the way that I catch bass on basically everything I buy, so I downsized and only fish what I like to fish now.

The Mind of a Bass
I'm of the mind that if you put a bait on top of a hungry or territorial bass it's going to bite it no matter what bait it is (within reason).

Warranty - favorable or fiendish experiences
Just wish the products were decent still, but nope.

Seems we might have a bit of warmth coming
In the north they're already in a crappy mood in the winter. A warm snap won't make the water any less cold but it sure does make it tolerable to fish for the angler.

Shimano vs. Lew's Reels
I have laughably tiny hands and the SLX is a small reel and easy to palm. No more difficult or uncomfortable than the Lew's TP. (No, really, my hands are the same size as my fiance and 16 year old sister).

Warranty - favorable or fiendish experiences
I know some people here almost if not outright refuse to use a warranty service because of some moral reasoning, but if a multi million/billion dollar company is going to offer me one (a guy who uses coupons to get 50 cents off a sack of potatoes), I'm going to use it and not lose any sleep over what amounts to an insignificant fraction of a penny to them. Dobyns and Fenwick have both been great for me. Never had to warranty a reel yet.

Boaters casting over shore fishermen
If they're not bass fishing or bass fisher-persons or have knowledge of bass fishing, which most people are not and do not, it makes sense that they would take the shoreline route. I imagine these people have no idea that you're fishing, and not just fishing, but fishing out of a boat, and hitting the shore rather than the open water. You walk up to a pond and where are the bobbers? Casted as far as possible out into the middle directly in front of them. You see an inexperienced bass angler and where are they casting? Straight out to the middle in front of them. So the people who drive you up a wall are almost certainly thinking they're actually avoiding disturbing your fishing; and as I'm sure you're aware, even if you're clearly fishing the shoreline, so many people around us have an astounding lack of awareness and probably don't even notice. Next is the safety aspect. I'm sure most of these people feel safer choosing to pass by a boat near the shore rather than in the open water around the other side. I think more people are stupid, or clueless, or lacking awareness than they are jerks. First casting rod!
I recommend Dobyns too. They're the only rod brand I choose to use anymore. But remember if you go Dobyns, they run a power lighter than stated. The 4 power, which they list as Heavy, is a Medium Heavy by almost all other standards; the 4 power is the Dobyns "do it all" rod.

First casting rod!
Not putting a Tatula reel on a Tatula rod seems demonic soooo, do that

Boaters casting over shore fishermen
Fishing the same area isn't the same as casting over. I'm usually in the defense of the bank angler but the boaters shouldn't get lost just because their "bank" is extended. When I'm bank fishing it's the tool that sees me catching fish and then stands 10 feet from me who bothers me more than any boater ever has.

Shoulder Surgery
That's crazy. We seem to have an unusually high number of people here with shoulder/arm injuries/surgeries.

Tackle warehouse scam
So, even if this happened, Tackle Warehouse isn't a "scam". They aren't the first and won't be the last to be hit by hackers trying to steal people's money.
