Funny. I just boxed up all my Ned rig stuff and mailed it to my friend in MN. Heads baits. All of it. I kept two bags of green pumpkin Finesse TRD to Tex-rig if I get desperate. I’m over it.

if i have a fish that i just caught in my hand, finding the temp at that point a moot for me. i got this. if i am not catching, i take surface temp and run it thru this equation

last year i was selfish. i took to the shallow lakes thinking it would be all mine! being a kayaker, i could keep fishing as the lakes lowered and one ramp closed after another. in the long run, this was dumb thinking. the lakes suffered health wise. weeds choked out waterways because the sun could reach the bottom of the lake because it "was just right there". fishing isnt just about me and my kayaking friends. i hope we all get rain and lots of it. but the planet is in self clean mode maybe.

i fish in the back. and my buddy, think electricity is free, and is always moving way too fast. i do two things if i want to fish my way. i adjust. first, i use a heavier weight to get it down quicker. then i cast way out in the direction the fool is throttling towards. as the boat moves towards my bait, i have more time to work it slow. if he is really fast, i just stand next to him. hahaha.. @TOXIC i'm not a boat expert by any means, but those pics. they kinda look like the front of the boat to me

truth. but the ones i see are cruising around. its seeing them that actually make me stop and send out a few casts "just in case".

i work with many annoying biologist. invasive species never turn native. my one annoying biologist friend always has me spending money killing pampos grass. it is everywhere, and will never be considered native. i do agree there are non-indigenious species that are not invasive.

not sure some of you know the definition of "favorite". hahahha me. my current favorite is OSP. Zoom Z-drop is my better performer vs Robo.

i'm finally doing laundry. i wash all my fishing stuff separately so i line dry it all. i remember, the last two outings, i got totally krapped on by some water bird. another good reason to keep it apart from my wife's frilly things. i'm in a kayak, so with respect to a boat, i am a much smaller target, but holy heck if i am not bombed a lot. my kayak gets pooped on, me as well..or i get splashed. near misses are so common. haha. just a thought. so you boat guys get hammered?. oh, i hose the majority off in the back yard.

my last doctor told me the same thing about water. she also said those energy drinks are for young people, and i am not young. hahah..

i rarely if ever step on a scale. i just want to hold back any health complications. every adult male on my dad's side died of cancer early, so my brother and i always lived life with that perspective. being insulin resistance was never a blip on my radar. yikes. sneaky mofo, that one.

Honestly, I don’t understand the question. I almost need a video:) but when I spool a reel, I run the line down the rods line guides. Looks like your line is coming in from too high an angle. Line is going thru the section of the guide that assists with casting the line, but it’s sucks for spooling it. Line needs to go thru the thin “upright” portion. or buy a Shimano.

I catch a fish so often when I’m doing something else. Like eating, peeing, or texting someone. It always reminds me to slow way down.

i do like seeing beds. it is how i learned to stand up in my kayak. i just stand and use my paddle to move about. i dont love targeting beds. i may blind cast in areas, and i imagine my bait lands on a bed on occasion. i prefer to find the fringe fish, that are a touch deeper, cruising for dinner.

it was released on purpose? all our lakes require boats to be clean to stop the spread. (very lukewarm effort) i have a special negative reaction to invasive species. i dug Bamboo out of my newly purchase house lot for two years. it was no joke, and i am very aware of any "pandora's box" type of stuff i could potentially plant in my yard.

i use a hookrig a local guy came up with and sells thru TW. he passed away on a fishing trip, so his pops made them for awhile, but he is hanging it up. dad said he would give the jig and show me how to crank them out, but i bought a bunch when i heard they were going to stop working on them. it is an awesome Wacky hook. the MOTO-hook.

i love this. so much fun. i didnt get my first turkey until i was in my 30's.

LIMA is the nuttiest road trip ever. i almost learned to say, "i dont think we are going to fit!!" in Peruvian the first 5 minutes of riding in the back of a taxi. 4 lanes roads are just a suggestion. they are really 8 lanes.

cant help, but i would be lying if i said i didnt just google the Glitter Craw. i just (tried) poked the bait monkey in both eyes with my two fingers. but he did block me with the straight palm in between. d**n!!
