  1. My friend uses a small dumbbell
  2. awesome!! i guess they have hired PR.
  3. @scaleface thanks bud. no wrong answer. i think since i am on a kayak, i like to go shallow and cast towards the deep. i like sliding right next to shore and fishing this way. appreciate the response.
  4. i WILL fish for this thing one day!! i made a promise to myself. i'll drag my brother along. and i will try eating one. i learned a fish is really, "you cannot judge a book by it's cover" what they look like on the outside, really doenst predict how it will taste. pure aesthetics, i wouldnt ever eat a catfish. NOT a looker.
  5. are the different weight baits physically the same size? i really never used them. i had 3 1/2oz baits, but it didnt work out.
  6. you and i homed in on the same spot. would you position shallow and fish a bait from deep to shallow, or go opposite? i find lots of fish on the very edge right where the elevation changes. i think i find more success creeping a bait up the hill.
  7. i like the Banter! most times i am in an online work meeting, and i am just listening. like now!! BR saves my mentality. and i am a better fisherman to boot.
  8. i cry BS, but i do admire his dedication to the lore. and nice of him not to litter. i have lucky underwear, so i cant say jack-S.
  9. my first move is to always check the Thule and Yakima fitment charts.
  10. i tied on a few new baits yesterday. i am rigged for the day i get back from my trip. i may be too tired or hungry to go fish..but i am ready. our weather is so cool now anyways. hopefully it stabilizes to the warm side, in a week.
  11. you have got to bring a scale dude... either way, awesome fish.
  12. i like that flat that goes to the drop off. where the tiny green square with the plus-sign is.
  13. ouch...at first blush, i imagine "yak gonads" kinda make everything adjacent look smaller? just kidding. just hoping to make you smile. i am glad you got some assistance and more importantly antibiotics. for those that dont know (me). what are the symptoms of a bladder infection? burns when you pee? did the doctor say you should have been there way sooner, at the first sign of trouble?
  14. what is the diameter?
  15. "addiction" has negative connotations. mine is a passion. it's okay to spend money on a passion.
  16. It was difficult buying a new truck. I’ll miss my old one. I still have it, but maybe not for long. I might donate it, if a friend doesn’t want it (cheap). it was lightly smacked by a drunk. my new truck is a short bed, so the bed extension is crucial.
  17. no deeper running crank bait? I'm far from expert, but I want to simply wish you luck!! go!!!
  18. Weird. I have the exact same two rods as GHOST. I think 1oz just about turns the rod into a noodle. I have been throwing 3/8th and 1/2 jigs with it lately. its fine. it feels lighter than a full blown heavy rod to me. I dont love the handle, but I am getting used to it. not sure I would buy the same rod again if it broke.
  19. bring 8 rod/reel/bait combos and the bass only need one. next day, bring just the one...nothing.
  20. i go heavier weights also. i want to get that big worm down fast to cover more water. i slow drag it when i feel it land.
  21. @Kirtley Howe awe...and you have all those finger lakes!!
  22. I only buy Senko's in one color. #925. both 4 and 5 Inch. I use more 5", but somedays, I get nothing and when I drop to a 4", it saves my day. I use 3/0 oShannasey (I need to learn to spell it someday). I will let them run out and move 100% to straight shank hooks with bait keepers. like the ReBarb 3/0.
  23. hahah..I have a deposit on a new truck. finding a stick shift would have been daunting. my wife, who arguably is the better stick-driver poo-poo'd it anyways. in a hour long traffic jam, it is not the best option. (for us)
  24. funny off topic. fishing, i have met plenty of people skirting parental responsibilties. one time, my wife's friend was so mad at me. she wouldnt talk to me. i finally found out thru my wife that she was really mad at her husband. WHO was fishing with me during his daughters dance recital. he blew it off to go fishing. i just got caught in the crossfire..guilty by association. family first folks. hahha... my bud is doomed. once the kids go to college, his life is about to get really lonely. (i heard) @TOXIC Truth!! i would never use fishing as income. nope. being an engineer ruined my love of math. (sarcasm! )
