The Devils Horse away from Florida?
They work super well in MN if you consider that North

Traveling in Germany right now and need to use a VPN to log into the site. Any reason it is blocked in Germany?

Spot Lock Trolling Motor
5' is way to coarse. Glad that makes you happy, but it would madden me.

Scum Frog Launch Frog...a review
Couldn't agree more. I think it is an offering to appeal to frog users of other brands instead of to appeal to those that are already SF fans for how they fish.

Spot Lock Trolling Motor
All electric models from MK & MG are useless as normally trolling motors IMO. The amount I abhor them is beyond almost anything else in a boat. The thin pedal is nice, but the lack of control SUCKS. All that being said, I am a shallow water, dock, tight space fisherman and need one that responds. If you only use it to follow contours and don't use your foot much you may be fine with it....but just don't try to use it to eloquently place your boat in tight spaces.

Braid on Bait caster
You MUST have backing to put on braid. Braid sensitivity is WAY, WAY, WAY better than mono for Crigs.

1625 Lund Fury XL - TROLLING OPTIONS
My ultrex has a remote and phone app control as well and unlike the terrova doesn't suck donkey d$#( when you use the foot pedal. The Terrova sucks if you have ever used a real trolling motor.

Bass Boat with seating for 4
My boat isn't exactly a bass boat, but it seats 4 easy, has no windshield and has a great front platform. There is a bit more gunnel, but along with it comes better rough water handling. It is a Ranger 620t, they made an 618T which has a smaller motor and is shorter. Warrior also makes a 2090BT, and 1890BT, Lund an 1875 and 2075/2010 Pro Guide, Alumacraft a 185 and 205 Tiller as well. I bought mine for the same reasons as you. Wanted a bass boat, but need to take 4. Slight difference in my case is they all want to fish.

Mono Line With MOST Stretch ?
Lighter line will stretch more. Personally I do the opposite, albeit with a MH. Straight braid for weeds. Let's you rip the rattler right from the weeds.

Lure same as a frog but better at hooking the fish?
Outside of the premature cross his eyes swing I find frogs to have rather good hookup ratios. My guess is you are pulling the bait away way too early.

Mono for Crankbaits?
A fish biting has zero vibration. The feel part has nothing to do with transmitting vibrations. Transmitting force yes, but not vibration. Thanks for the explanation on the lines. Curious to see as they flouro tests I've seen have all had more stretch than mono.

Mono for Crankbaits?
First year using flouro again after being disgusted with it in the past. Not sure I'll continue next though. We will see. Amusingly lots of responses in here are talking about less stretch with the flouro, but every test will show that it stretches more. Not sure where this misconception comes from. Fish biting is not a vibration so even if there is more critical damping of some frequencies in the line it has zero effect on sensitivity. First post I've seen stating the difference between initial and long term. Has someone tested this in some way? You are boldly stating initial which means you know that it stretches more than mono, but I've not personally done a true A/B test nor have I seen one.

Speed Cranking a Deep Diver?
I have some Muskie baits you can throw on it if you want to need prescription painkillers after.

Ramp/dock etiquette
Interesting. I've backed in at least 20 other peoples vehicles for them and they have all been ecstatic. Although I was trailering a 30' Sundancer when I did most of them. Reminds me of a priceless launch. There were two newcomers to boating launching on the two outer spots of a very narrow 3 up ramp in North Arm. I asked if they wanted help and both refused so I dumped the 30'er in between them. They both stopped everything they were doing and s#&% themselves as I backed in, my roomate fired up the boat and backed it off and I pulled out. They had been there for a good 10min screwing things up and we were in and out in less than a minute.

1625 Lund Fury XL - TROLLING OPTIONS
Ultrex is a better choice. Spot lock, iLink, and a real pedal.

Mice!
We had a problem with them in my old house. I forgetfully left a 5 gal bucket in the garage half full of antifreeze over a winter. In the spring there were over 100 dead mice in it. Obviously we don't have pets, but shocking how well it worked.

Best in stock finesse rod under 500$
In that price range no way I'd buy a stock rod. Have one built. Bet you will find more blanks in stock than complete rods...

Fixing a Weak Hookset
Medium action spinning is not a setup I'd ever throw an EWG on. In particular if you happen to have the flipping variety. Light rod and line mean thin diameter hook.

How deep does your trolling motor need to be?
As high as it can be without blow outs. Where I like most to fish this means running slowly barely below the surface so it doesn't collect weeds. When I have to fish deep it may need to be way deeper dependent on the waves/wind that day.

2.5 hp on 12ft aluminum boat. Speed??
My first boat was a 2hp on a 10'er. It made a wave, but that is about it. Good for back trolling not traversing water.

Baitcasting beginner: how is this rod lineup so far
Two rods there for me, both missing from his list. M mod for small cranks and a M XF for jerkbaits/topwaters. Add a longer MF for Trigs.
-
1625 Lund Fury XL - TROLLING OPTIONS
I have zero use for auto stow...in particular when they all come with trash foot controls. Solution to a problem that doesn't exist for me. Most important is something that can talk to your depth finder and get through the weeds you fish. A real footpedal is super high on my priority list.

Favorite topwater rod
Jerkbait and this sort of topwater are thrown with the only BC I want under 7'. SC 6'8" MXF blank is what I had built for it. Not a better rod or action for them on the market IMO. The lighter action rod and super fast tip is critical for being able to dial in the action exactly as you want

Made it to state again!
Nice work!

The right spot or the right bait???
The wrong bait can catch a bass in the right spot. The right bait won't catch a bass in the wrong spot. Find the spot and then figure out how to boat the fish.
