How much bullet weight is necessary
Concept was right, wording made it read wrong. Weight in water depends on buoyancy as well and for that you need the density.

Need help finding walk dog rod

Most versatile rod length?
For search baits I had my rods built to 7'10" and outside of my dedicated jerkbait rod and close quarter rods the rest are 7'-7'4". I chose 7'10" back when my rod lockers were only 8' long. Today I would go a bit longer if redoing them, but not a ton more.

Need a new Senko rod - Considering a St Croix Mojo Bass medium-fast 7' spinning rod. Your thought?
I am all about made in the USA, but would never buy a premier. There are a couple mojo's in my house though. Compare an Avid and Premier and you will never want a premier. Compare the Avid and Mojo and you wonder if the Avid is worth it. I think it is, but the difference is less than between the Mojo and Premier.

Fishing In MN March/April
My cure was just to buy a WI one. Goes to a good cause...and when I don't it limits lakes I can run to quick. Defended the cure by renting a cabin there for a week.

Winter 2020-2021
I've driven it, just not fished out of it Test drive and re-winterization. Was a brutal day. So hard to buy something new and then plop it in storage. Boat is up at Mille Lacs...but will make it home before ML unthaws. Lots of new things to put in her. Can't wait. Winter is classically my favorite season. Normally I would trade more of it for a shorter summer, but NOT this year. The fish are calling!!

Do you lock your boat trailer in the lot?
Where and how you park can be huge too. Backing into a tight spot with no side access is always a great idea
-
What makes you cover or not cover your rods?
Anytime they could tangle, subjected to being in a tube in a moving vehicles or I have to carry a bunch of them they get wrapped.

The best reel brand
That is never going to happen. Either way, at least you have one good reel. As for which brand is better, neither is the only answer. At any point in time or depending on the model each has something that is superior to the other. I will buy whatever works best for what I want it to do.

Do you lock your boat trailer in the lot?
I'm with A-Jay, it isn't because I expect it to stop a real thief.

Technique Overload
Even before the internet, it was easy to go down a strange path. I read books, magazines, attended Bass U events, hung out at tackle shops and did all I could pre-internet. I still ended up with a bunch of crap and wasted time. Last time I did a major sort on my tackle I off loaded more than half of it.

What Does Your Dicks Sporting Goods Look Like?
Our's used to be Galyan's though and they always had great tackle selections. Seeing Scheels is crazy to me as I grew up with the Scheel family.

New St Croix rod
The cost cutting foam and guides are to fit a price point. If the blanks are as stellar as they sound they will find their way into a more premium build. I have a bunch of St. Croix's and love their sticks.

Anyone else using fluorocarbon for buzzbaits?
Straight braid here. Can't say that I never foul, but it isn't all that often.

Medium or Medium Heavy Fast Action Rod for 1st Baitcaster
I would buy 3 MH before even contemplating the M in a BC. It is what is in my hands by far the most often.

How much should I spend on a rod?
If you have to choose between one $800 combo or 4 $200 and you will never be able to buy anymore tackle ever the 4 $200 ones win EVERYTIME.

How much should I spend on a rod?
First nice rod I bought was an 844 blank. Wish you could still get them as blanks. Great stick.

How to deal with disrespectful, inconsiderate neighbors fishing on a private lake?
If there was a fresh 3lb fish there everyday and anyone on this forum was a 3 minute journey from their house we'd all be there catching it everyday.
