I tried to do a Google on the Google machine but no luck. I’ll have to ask my nephew…he’s 10 now.

Clear Coating Your Lures
Whatever you choose, I can’t imagine you would need much more than a touch up on the spots you are worried about. As far as impacting performance, people put suspend dots on lures all the time. IMO, any differences you get with a little brushed on protection would not even be measurable.

finesse search bait for pressured, murky lake?

Braid and a rod’s power
I understood what you were asking from your original post. Just remember, you need to be a wordsmith on this site or we will take up the first page scolding you ?. Edit: I’m ready to be flamed with things like “words matter”…bring it on.

832 vs Smackdown
I have used both for a long time and don’t notice any difference while fishing. I guess if I really concentrated I might be able to nitpick a few things but nothing that would make me choose one over the other. I usually choose Smackdown over 832 for spinning but only because I prefer the look of hi vis green over hi vis yellow (it’s a vanity thing…don’t judge me). I have not had fading or bleeding issues with either line.

Saltwater scents for bass
I agree and IMO, it’s because people equate what can be seen, heard, etc. based on what we can witness. Just look on YouTube at all the videos trying to demonstrate line visibility. The conclusion on so many of them is there are no differences when the more accurate conclusion should be there are no differences to the human eye. We don’t know what the bass sees. Science does provide some clues but even then, most acknowledge that there are still many things that are unknown.

Drop Shot Tip
Really good idea. I have a few spots where the only thing you can fish without getting hung up is a Neko rig. This would probably work for the same reason the Neko works. Edit: 8th post and already providing valuable info…well done.

Clear Coating Your Lures
Lol…if you read his post, he said he is getting an arc on the lure. I assumed, maybe wrongly, that the arc part was gouging into the bait but maybe I am wrong.

Unknown Jerkbait?
If there is nothing stamped on it, I think it is very likely a knockoff. You can get 95mm blanks with 2 hooks but I doubt you would get that in a subscription box unless that’s some type of sticker. It looks good though.

finesse search bait for pressured, murky lake?
I would remove clarity concerns from the equation…5-6 feet would be considered good clarity in most Texas lakes. If it were me, I would focus on moving baits and covering water until you get an idea of how/where they are positioning, then you can slow down more targeted presentations. Vegetation is good but all vegetation is not necessarily good. They could be on inside edges, outside edges, irregularities, etc., etc. Just keep moving till you get some clues.

Bass bite dies after noon?
I asked a few questions on a prior post. Hopefully the community can provide some more thoughts. One other point to consider since there is little info to go on. If the water you have access to is for example, a do nothing flat with little cover/structure, you might be better off seeing if you can find another accessible area of the lake. Bass will often pull up on the shallow flats to feed in the early morning hours but as the sun gets high and the water continues to warm, they will often pull back to deeper water if there is little available cover. Not to say there aren’t some bass still there but many may be out of reach.

What should I use each of my rods for
Whatever you prefer…you are going to get both answers and both are correct for the person answering. I’ll start…I don’t use backing on braid.

True…unfortunately his are getting beat up for the wrong reasons and based on his post, seem to be getting a little bit of a deformity.

Bass bite dies after noon?
I agree with what you said and I don’t believe I or the OP are suggesting not fishing. The only point I was trying to make is the OP is bank fishing which can multiply the challenges due to water access difficulties. I’m not sure but I assume the tournament anglers you discuss likely have access to the entire lake where the OP may only have access to 100 yards. My suggestion was simply to try to refocus the conversation back to the OP’s question. Edit: Also if you re-read his post, it doesn’t look like he is just fishing the same old areas as he specifically states that he has walked the bank looking for shady areas. Edit 2: His PB is 8-9 pounds, so he is doing something right. Sharing anecdotal stories to point out a point he wasn’t making (quitting fishing mid day) is not addressing his question. Read the last sentence and then read the following 2 pages of posts. Most don’t address his question and many also use conclusions that he SPECIFICALLY contradicted in his post. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I’ll start: OP…your shade idea was good thinking. What other types of cover/structure is available in the areas you do have access to? What depths are you able to reach? Are any of the accessible areas near deeper water?

Bass bite dies after noon?
I think some might not be considering this point from the OP’s post. Yes, mid day summers can be good. Yes, mid day summers can be tough. There are so many factors that can influence this, including the water he does have access to. Having limited water access can multiply the difficulties. Before responding to me to say that my point doesn’t hold water because you caught your PB in 4 feet of water, it might be more helpful to the OP to ask for a few more details about the water he does have access to.

It's nice to have shopping options now.
Not that it solves your legit frustrations but unless TW has changed their return policy, they have one of the most generous policies I have ever seen. I had 3 rods I purchased from them 3-4 years prior and broke the tip on one and an eye on 2 and they allowed me to return, no questions asked. Didn’t even have to provide a receipt…they just looked it up in their system. I haven’t purchased from them in some time because I can get better deals on the rods I buy elsewhere. However, the policy is almost enough to get me to pay more to buy from them.

Rookie to the braid game - creek fishing
I haven’t used those in many years but I don’t see any reason why braid to whatever leader type you choose would be a problem. Others may have a more informed opinion. For spinning gear, I always use braid to leader. IMO, it’s MUCH more manageable for a number of reasons including not having to deal with line coiling issues.

Bass bite dies after noon?
Some lakes are like that during certain times of the year. Lake Fork often has a pretty big mid day lull and really picks up later in the afternoon. You might try an afternoon trip one day to see how active they are late. Some of the bank fishermen might look at some of the portable sonars like Deeper. They are castable and about the size of a tennis ball and have down imaging and mapping capabilities. I saw a fisherman casting one out with one rod and while fishing with another and walked over to ask him about it. It functioned through Bluetooth and he was viewing on an iPad (I assume you can use a cell phone as he said you download their app). I was pretty impressed with the features it provided for such a compact device. My memory is the cost wasn’t that much at the time but it’s been a while.

Yama's new product: Senko TRD
This is me…the pretty colors probably don’t make much difference other than in my head. I don’t fish Ned’s a lot but when I do, it’s usually a Robo Ned in Aaron’s Magic, Ox Blood, or Peoples Worm. I fish drop shots more often but in clear water I add baby bluegill and hologram shad to the mix. It’s just a confidence thing for me. Edit: P.S. Nice fish
