I have been known to pull on a femur every once in a while, but this one is true. I don’t think I’ve ever posted a pic ?

That does sound good. I did laugh a little bit when I read “next pb”.

It was surprising to me how good it was. Filleting her was like sawing an old boot, she had some tough skin.

The fillet was so thick I had to cut it into cubes. Then I soaked the cubes in salt and lemon water for a half a day. Then Smothered them with 1/2 mustard and siracha and zatarains Louisiana for the crust. Deep fried in vegetable oil . It was fantastic.

I wish I was talking about peanut butter. I caught a nine pound largemouth Saturday. It was epic. Took some pictures and put her on the scale then turned her loose. She swam away all sassy , then 5 minutes later she floated to the top on her side. Bummer. I tried three times to release her, and every time it went the same way. I’ve had fish die before but this one bothers me a little bit. She was delicious though. Has this happened to anyone else on the internet ?

I carry a whetstone in my shirt pocket while I’m fishing. A rolled point can make for a bad day.

I use a natural gas grill most of the time, but I prefer charcoal.

The main thing I have changed is cutting the sugar out of my diet. It’s incredible how much better I feel, especially my joints.

I had a bad experience awhile back running duct work in the summer. Since thence me and hot don’t get along. I enjoy night fishing for that reason and also it’s quieter.

I’ve had better luck with low light fishing a frog. There are exceptions. Once I found a little pocket where the bass had corralled a bunch of shad. Middle of the day , not a cloud in the sky, hardly any cover in two feet of water. I tore em up. Weird.

Smallmouth in my neck of the woods are doing great.

Dobyns sierra 703 spinning with a pflueger president. It’s nice.

Purple is my favorite too. I use mostly Zoom trick worms , finesse worms and Yamamoto senkos.
