Aaron Martens made a video years ago talking about how he tied the uni to uni. He said people don’t use enough wraps. For 6# fluorocarbon to 8# braid he wrapped the braid 14 times and the fluorocarbon 5 times, I think that’s what it was. I like to go 14 and 7. Works good.

This past week we’ve had lots of rain, probably close to 6 inches. I realize that doesn’t sound like a lot to some, but to us in deep drought it’s a welcome sight. Keep it coming Nino !

I have a few of the Hank Parker rods . They are fantastic for the price.

When I tore my bicep, I fished live bait for a good while. There’s a lot less repetitive motion involved. Shorter, lighter rods helped too. Just have to remember not to spazz out when setting the hook. Ooo-eeee TShane !

In my corner of the world a gulp minnow on a jig head is catching a whole bunch of smallmouth. Gulp minnows rule !
