Why all the murders?

This summer has been a constant grind. The lake I fish has been pounded since the whole covid thing. I talk to a lot of the good local fishermen and they’ve noticed it too.

I cut 1/2 “ off my ring finger when my 24 “ pipe wrench slipped. The doc sewed it back on but I can’t feel it and it is mushy like tapioca pudding. Looks funny too. Oh well.

Summer always sucks but this summer has been suckier than I can remember it sucking before.

How do you retrieve that thing without getting sprayed?

I’ve only come across one bad spool. I don’t want to bash the brand so I won’t say the name, but it rhymes with Stren. 12# clear blue monofilament. Normally it’s great, but dang I shouldn’t be able to break 12# with my hands without cutting myself.
