I use a 3000 reel on my bass setups. 3500 should be plenty big , depending on what type of line you’re spooling up. I don’t ever go 10 # mono and it works perty good. I meant to say “ don’t ever go over 10# mono.

My style is a little bit different. I like 20# fluoro for my big spinnerbaits , chatter baits, swim jig and whatever else has a big single hook subsurface. 8# fluoro for drop shot, Ned rig , senko ( wacky) and 3 inch paddle tails. Works perty good for me.
