  1. Yep. I get a palm of grease and scrape the bearings till grease pushes out. It’s the green marine grease from Oreilly’s Where do you get your grease?
  2. I jack the trailer up after every couple of trips to spin the wheels and listen. When they start sounding rough I pull everything apart and clean the rotten grease out of everything, but by that time the bearings are already rust pitted. I ignored them too long last year and found myself changing a bearing at the gas station . That was a long way to say failure Yep
  3. I’m going to check this out. Thanks
  4. Yes , I change the races out every time I change the bearings , but the seal looks good . I’m going to change them out anyway when I get my bearing buddies. The dust cap is where the water is puddled and the grease is discolored around the castle nut, so I think it’s coming around my dust cap.
  5. I will order some today. Thanks for the advice.
  6. It’s about thirty miles to the lake from my house, and I go twice a week , usually. You are right about the water intrusion. I can’t seem to keep it out. Every trip when I get home I pull the dust cap off and pour out a dribble.
  7. I would be tickled with one year.
  8. I'm having to change the bearings on my trailer about every six weeks . This seems like a lot . How often should they have to be replaced , and do you have any tips on bearing maintenance ?
  9. Trolling is fun.
  10. New Mexico charges for a second rod too
  11. Walleye are only surpassed by bluegill in deliciousness IMO. My wife and I fish walleye all winter, bluegill in the summer .
  12. Did you sharpen the hooks?
  13. I’ve used that rig for swimbaits but never a rage craw. Cool beans, I got something new to try ! Thanks
  14. Awesome!
  15. Ditto. But I’m going to try and get better at the ol droop shot so I can stifle some of the heckling from my wife.
  16. Last weekend I fished a large flat covered in dead trees . I never gave it a second thought , but I will now. Thanks for the heads up.
  17. I use a medium for a lot of stuff, but it is miserable to try using the medium for big spinnerbaits or deep diving crankbaits , even snatching a lipless out of grass is a pain. They just don’t have enough backbone.
  18. What in the world ? At my job I see a lot of damaged freight , but that's next level stupid .
  19. Hello Beer and welcome!
